Well, I know that, myelin makes things go better or something, but I figured in terms of what it's made of. Or is histology studied through function rather than structure? If that were the case, wouldn't there be some serious overlap between certain epithelial and connective tissues? thx

There are different types of glial cells. However, recent neuroscience is showing that some may play at least some minor role in neurotransmission, but how that works exactly is not known yet. Due to that, I'd assume they'd fall under nervous tissue more definitively.
