LQT question
Good - I'll try it out for the new year. Given what I've seen in reading some of the old discussions I want a way to back out though, you see.
It's working so far, at least. Thanks again.
I can't honestly think of a reason you'd want to transclude an LQT conversation or multiple ones into the same page... I mean, it's a talk and discussion app, really, you don't tend to require it.
Though I assume if you manually translcude the individual pages that the comments are held on in the thread-space (in this version, before they rewrite it into their own thing) it would work just fine, right?
Think WP's massively complicated central discussion pages that consist of a bunch of talk pages transcluded into one.
You shouldn't transclude the pages in the Thread namespace. In fact that's one of the main problems with LQT, that the comments are held in the thread namespace, and you can screw with them. LQT 3.0 moves them elsewhere, making them inaccessible as wiki pages.
Sounds nightmarish.
I understand the issues with them being accessible as pages, but while this is the implementation of the thread system I don't particularly see what would be wrong with picking individual posts to transclude onto a page - say to collect and pick out a series of quotes. As far as RW is concerned that would be more useful than a transclusion of an entire page.
