In Tibetan Buddhism, a Tulpa is a creature that is summoned into creation through sheer force of will. This has been expanded more recently as "an autonomous consciousness which also exists in a self imposed hallucinatory body, which is usually much of your choice".[1] Of course, there is no evidence apart from the occasional anecdote to prove that these "tulpas" are any more than self-induced hallucinations.
