[edit] Evolution and Information Theory

An increasingly popular creationist/intelligent design argument against Darwinian evolution is that a transition from simpler to more complex organisms is an increase in information, and information content can't increase by natural processes. According to Answers in Genesis, "it should be clear that a rigorous application of the science of information is devastating to materialistic philosophy in the guise of evolution, and strongly supportive of Genesis creation."[1]
