CultOfDusty is a skeptic oriented YouTube channel run by Dusty Smith. One of the older members of the YouTube atheist/skeptic community (his channel was created in late 2008), Dusty has made a name as an outspoken and irreverent antitheist with a penchant for all things "logical", like his clothing line, for instance. The bulk of his career has been spent creating a pretty decent track record of calling out crankery, though in recent years he, like many other skeptic YouTubers, has turned some of his attention towards attacking feminists, Black Lives Matter, and "SJWs", though Dusty himself has still kept anti-religious sentiment as the main attraction on his channel. His manner of crudeness and bluntness is somewhat of a cornerstone of his persona on the channel.

While it probably isn't appropriate to call Dusty racist or otherwise bigoted, he is certainly very insensitive,[1] and seems to have wholly embraced the anti-PC movement. Many of his videos utilize offensive statements or sentiments as clickbait for his unorganized ramblings. One video entitled "Fuck Black People!", for instance, is a five minute spiel of him complaining about the negative effects that racial stereotypes of black people have on him, things that black people have made that he doesn't like (Tyler Perry movies, and blaming black people for things like slavery on the basis that as the first human beings, they invented it.[2] Another, titled "If You Are A Muslim, You Are Retarded!", is a critique of Islam framed as an attack on Muslims.[3] Though both are very campy and tongue-in-cheek (with the former featuring text on screen reading "don't take it too seriously"), one does have to wonder how many racist statements the "it was just a joke" card is really good for.

An early example of his mistreatment of racial issues is his 2010 video "Atheists Are the New Niggers", the description of which claims that "The most vile word on the planet should be reserved for the most hated people, and the most hated people in America are atheist.".[4] https://www.facebook.com/cultofdusty/posts/10203019741948381
