My training is in psychology and computer science: at Centre College, the University of Colorado, and Cornell University. My PhD is in Mathematical Psychology, and my career in the three decades since has been primarily computer software R&D. I found RationalWiki a big help in trying to reassure some of my more conspiracy-minded friends. Since then I've started editing where I find a problem.

Most of my work is trade secret. I've published some papers in trade magazines, but only one peer-reviewed scientific paper:
