From RationalWiki

If I remember correctly, I first came to RationalWiki shortly after its creation, when the focus was entirely on Andy and Conservapedia. I can't recall where I learned of it; possibly from The Panda's Thumb, Dispatches from the Culture Wars, or Pharyngula. As activity at Conservapedia slowed I checked in less and less. I was never a contributor, just a lurker.

I would occasionally return to RationalWiki to see what was up. I enjoyed the short existence of RationalWikiWiki. And it was interesting to watch the evolution of the site as it confronted the fallout from ElevatorGate and the other controversies that split the rational/skeptic community over the ensuing years. I didn't follow the behind the scenes activity but I imagine it was contentious.

I like the current site and its overall politically progressive stance. I confess that my interest in the site has always been in the drama and wackiness of things like the Lenski Affair, GamerGate, etc. I enjoy reading the talk pages and the exploits of the "I thought this was supposed to be RationalWiki!" types.

I also enjoy goat.

Keep up the good work folks. Perhaps some day I'll overcome my laziness and actually try to contribute.
