"Just wrote a song about abortion, wanna hear it? here we go -- FREE YOUR MIND, and the rest will follow". Seriously, my need to remind people it's not all logic and argument. Essay:Clear risk to the life of "mother"

c'est pas me q'i do[edit]

When I avoir recontred you
You was uh jeune fille au pair
And I put a spell on you,
And you roule a pelle to me.
Together we go partout
On my mob it was super
It was friday on my mind,
It was a story d'amour.
It is not because you are,
I love you because I do
C'est pas parc'que you are me qu'I am you.
You was really beautiful
In the middle of the foule.
Don't let me misunderstood,
Don't let me sinon I boude.
My loving, my marshmallow,
You are belle and I are beau
You give me all what you have
I say thank you, you are bien brave.

Theory of Mind[edit]

Before I had a chance to defend my PhD I was offered a real job, making some "real" money in legal research for Native American issues mostly on NAGPRA.

But, 10 years later, I'm really bored, so I've started doing my own research into the Scientific Theory of Mind, the child of the Philo "Theory of Mind", and the new cognitive sciences of Neuropsychology, Neurochemistry, and neurobiology.

Basically, it's the same ol questions "Who am I?" "What is a memory?" "How does language work at the brain level", "what is an idea? what is creativity? Why is the process of doing math fundamentally different from telling a recitation of your morning" "what is a lapse of words'", etc. but instead of just pontificating, we are using the cognitive sciences, and medical conditions to begin to form concrete answers to these. Well, to ask the right questions anyhow. We do truly know less about the actual functions of "higher cognition" in the brain, than we do about black holes or the big bang. We know, scientifically, about codons, and neuronets, but not the most simple of questions "what is a thought?" "how does the mind create a thought".

Amazing stuff. It fills my time when not writing legal tracts about a new land development in AZ and how it impacts some particular holy site (oh boy, oh joy).

Taku Skan Skan[edit]

One of my principal sources in my Graduate program was to analyze how the Bible was translated into Lakota, and ultimately how that set of translations directly effected the nature of Lakota Belief then and now. Understanding how translations work is critical in understanding modern religions - in particular, modern Fundamental Christianity. How anyone can claim they understand something that was written 4000 years ago, through no less than 3 sets of translations, and say they then have *the* authoritative sense of the religion makes me want to scream. "Experts" (such as they are) often have no idea what passages really mean, just cause we are too far from the source language and culture to fully understand the context.

Murder is not killing. Abominations are not a form of evil. Prostitutes are not homosexuals. Homosexual is not a word found in the entire bible. and oh by the way, the word alhma and btula do not mean virgin.

Abortion[edit]

If you do not have the body parts that are associated with childbirth; if you never have to contemplate what a missed period means; if one night of drunken stupidity merely means you have a Coyote Ugly morning on your hands; if you can stay up all night, working your tail to the bones in a selfish way, knowing you'll probally never have a child, but if you do you won't have to be bothered all that much (and society ACCEPTS this from you) -- Then you are a male, and stay the hell out of the abortion debate!

Pregnancy (like gay rights, actually) is a life changing moment for the good, for the bad, for the ugly. It should never be a political issue. When politics uses something this personal and frankly this serious to get votes, it is a violation of woman kind that stands without reason. Politicians should be ashamed of themselves for saying to any single woman that they know what is best, right, or legal for that woman. We are not children. we make decisions we regret all the time. how DARE that be a reason for ANYONE to deny us the rights to make those decisions. Women Are Not Children to be told what to do.

When did this place get all these cops for heaven's sake.
