Sorry to see you go, but you've definitely made the right decision re Conservapedia. wassaiLOIdWeaselly.jpg~ 20:05, 31 December 2008 (EST)
Bravo sir. Bravo. That was an excellent farewell. I doubt anything will be listened too, but should give them a bit to think about. Worst-case scenario, you get called a liberal and thrown down the memory hole. Hopefully PJR will do the same soon, and then the whole place will fall into the depths of insanity. I hope you find a project that suits you that isn't filled with fringe totalitarian psychos.ENorman 20:16, 31 December 2008 (EST)
I must say I am sorry about what happened. I guess by your name that you were one of the first. To be driven off by parodists, thugs and Andy's increasing paranoia after putting in so much effort must be hard. Is there anything we can do? - User 20:29, 31 December 2008 (EST)
I'd like my account to be blocked in a couple days. --CPAdmin1 20:31, 31 December 2008 (EST)
Okay just hit me with a message when you want it done. - User 20:33, 31 December 2008 (EST)
You seem to have been blocked on CP already, and begun the descent into the Memory hole. As for blockage on RW, wouldn't just not going on anymore suffice? Blocking seems a bit... harsh.ENorman 20:37, 31 December 2008 (EST)
Shame really. If all conservatives were like you and were able to look at the opposition rather than denying it outright, the world would be a better place. You may not agree with us on everything, but you at least agree that Andy and his goons are self-righteous whack jobs. Thank you for your courage.--Nate River 20:40, 31 December 2008 (EST)
Hi Tim, sorry to see you go, though I understand. There's so much "CP" on here that it would be weird to retire there and not here. However, the reason I clicked over here (before I read your message) was to invite you to stick around and keep being a friendly thorn in our groupthink side. Anyway, wherever you reallocate your energies, I hope you are rewarded better for your efforts than you were at CP. PS, there no need to block your account, we don't do it anyway. If you want your pages blank and just having the "retired" template, that's cool (although the talk will get archived). We can protect them, as well, although since almost everyone here is a sysop these days, it won't make much difference. Cheers, and all the best for the new year! ħumanUser talk:Human 21:57, 31 December 2008 (EST)
I am not going to stick around here. I don't really have the time, and I don't really want to be a part of this site either. CP's mission was good, but it failed. I just don't like the mission here, as much as I am not in favor of the way CP does things, This site has engaged in activities that I find to be worse. I only came here to the extent that it related to CP. Now that I am done with CP, I don't really have a reason to be here. --CPAdmin1 02:08, 1 January 2009 (EST)
Feel like substantiating any of that? There is a difference between disagreeing with say, the mission or view point of the site, and decrying "activities" we have "engaged" in. tmtoulouse 02:11, 1 January 2009 (EST)
Coordinated vandalism/other attacks on CP. --CPAdmin1 12:20, 1 January 2009 (EST)
That is what I figured you would say, conspiracy theory once more, that RW is somehow officially coordinating or sanctioning anything like that. It is total BS. Individual members of the site may engage in "activities" but the site itself is not coordinating it and the vast, vast majority of our users do nothing but watch it happen, and several of us don't even do that. I couldn't careless about your participation here, going or staying, we seldom cross paths so it is all the same to me. But if you are going to sprinkle little barbs around before you go provide some evidence. We are not CP and I, at least, take any "parthian shot" seriously even from our vandals, if there is something of meat to it and not just random accusation. Anyway, as Human said feel free to toss a retired template on your user page and talk page (once archived) and godspeed and what not. But we don't block users for leaving even if they ask. tmtoulouse 12:35, 1 January 2009 (EST)
There was at least coordinated page view count falsification. --CPAdmin1 13:09, 1 January 2009 (EST)
Again, while one or two people who edit RW may have engaged in such activities, it was anything but "coordinated". Probably the worst we do is "encourage" random people who have found us and CP to try to do things to get reported at WIGO CP, simply due to its existence. ħumanUser talk:Human 14:49, 1 January 2009 (EST)
Coordinated? Remember, "Paranoia is the delusion that your enemies are organized." --Gulik 22:01, 1 January 2009 (EST)
Ok, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. --CPAdmin1 12:52, 2 January 2009 (EST)
Our mocking of conservapedians for offenses we are often guilty of ourselves, perhaps? Phantom Hoover 09:37, 1 January 2009 (EST)
You do do that, but CP has a bigger problem with that than RW. --CPAdmin1 12:20, 1 January 2009 (EST)
Ah, Conservapedia. Where they separate the wheat from the chaff, and keep the chaff. --Gulik 03:19, 1 January 2009 (EST)
I only did it that one time to test the revert speed on CP. Then someone over there reverted it back to my vandalism once my ban expired and got me in trouble again. They don't play fair over at CP. You yourself admitted that.Besides, I am sure there are a few people over here playing for the other team. I can at least respect your denouncement of Andy. It just seems a shame that your intimate knowledge of CP is just going to waste.--Nate River 21:57, 1 January 2009 (EST)
What could CPAdmin1 possibly tell us that we'd care about that we haven't already figured out? --Gulik 22:00, 1 January 2009 (EST)
I for one want to encourage you to stay, Tim -- but this is, admittedly, entirely for my own interest and benefit. You and I see the world in very different ways, and in my own social and professional circles, I rarely get the chance to engage with people whose views are so diametrically opposed to mine. I learn from what you have to say, even though I almost never agree with you. I'll miss having you around...TheoryOfPractice 22:03, 1 January 2009 (EST) (aka PFoster...)
Yeah, that's what I meant to say, Tim, but ToP said it so much better... ħumanUser talk:Human 22:08, 1 January 2009 (EST)
I don't really have the time to contribute here, and I am not in agreement with the purpose of the site, and I don't think that the site can really be separated from CP, so I will not be staying. --CPAdmin1 12:52, 2 January 2009 (EST)
I agree 100% Tim. Good luck out there, I hope wherever you go its nowhere like Cp. EternalCritic 13:19, 2 January 2009 (EST)
Happy New Year, and the very best to you out there online Tim. You're one of the people with whom I disagree from whom I actually learn, and that seems to me to be the whole point of all of this. Best wishes to you. DogP 13:38, 2 January 2009 (EST)
