[edit] So
What's the plan? FᴜᴢᴢʏCᴀᴛPᴏᴛᴀᴛᴏ﹐ Esϙᴜɪʀᴇ (talk/stalk) 21:34, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
- I'm'a going to try and rewrite it in a more precise/concise fashion. *shrugs* I'm just going to see if I can do it; there is no plan, per se. --Castaigne (talk) 21:45, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
- For instance, I just rewrote the introduction. Compare with the original on the regular page, and tell me what you think. --Castaigne (talk) 22:14, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
- Better. FᴜᴢᴢʏCᴀᴛPᴏᴛᴀᴛᴏ﹐ Esϙᴜɪʀᴇ (talk/stalk) 23:29, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
See if you can distill this into the 32k or less article that is completely readable and explains what most casual readers would want to know? ħuman

- Gonna try. Like I was telling AH, I've had a fever/cough all week and am spending the weekend high on DayQuil. Still no inspiration on how it should go yet. Need to stare at it/not think about it more. --Castaigne (talk) 01:35, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
[edit] Suggestions
Looking over things, and carefully avoiding the controversy itself, I think this should be put more into a perspective that RW operates under. As has been stated numerous times, play by play is not needed. What it is, a brief synopsis on where/why it started, common complaints about gaming journalism, blanket description of repeated actions, and finally, possibly a brief section on ACTUAL problems in gaming journalism, or maybe how their complaints COULD be valid, and you'd have a nice, readable, concise, and friendly article for those not familiar with the topic. Take for example the Men's rights movement page. A little messy, but it shows the complaints, why they're wrong, and how they COULD be right. It's not interjecting "balance" into the discussion, but admitting there may or may not be validity in arguments there may or may not be validity in.
Another example of something very complicated, but explained (somewhat) concisely here is Libertarianism. It's explained, references some key people, but doesn't have an exhausting list of every time a libertarian wiped their ass. Trick (talk) 14:08, 2 March 2015 (UTC)
