Welcome to the dueling offensive sacrifice. EddyP (talk) 11:26, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Cheers. This place isn't as funny as Conservapedia or as factual as Uncyclopedia, but it's still a good read. --Concernedresident (talk) 11:32, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

My goon squad[edit]

User:Gooniepunk2005/laboratory/squad A pox upon you, for they appear to have elected to be represented by a labor union!Punky Your mental puke relief 21:11, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Ha. This'll teach you to not hire cheap overseas goons. I was getting tired of being roughed-up by goons who couldn't even speak a word of English. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 21:14, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks to you, I now have to pay a decent wage, give them health benefits, give them vacation days, and, even, pay them overtime. How dare you!The Spikey Punk I'm punking my punk! 21:17, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Goons have feelings too. If you drive a goon to a remote warehouse location and beat them to death with a tire iron, do they not bleed? --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 21:31, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Well, goons don't really have blood per se, but I get your point.Gooniepunk2010 Oi! Oi! Oi! 04:52, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Sysop[edit]

Can you please make me a sysop? Thanks. Keegscee 03:06, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

I don't think he has that power. Conservative Punk 03:30, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
The punk is correct. I haven't been demoted enough to have that kind of power. Generally the sysop thing just happens after you've proven yourself to be mostly harmless.--ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 12:20, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

huh?[edit]

What happened? — Sincerely, Neveruse513 / Talk / Block 16:25, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

I had four hours of utter tedium at work, and my way of coping is to pretend that I'm famous. I was once mentioned on BBC Radio, although not by name. RTE news asked for my opinions on a football-related news item, and quickly left when they realised that they may as well be talking to a postbox. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 16:30, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Circumstantial evidence[edit]

Your evidence that I am a sock of Marcus Cicero is merely circumstantial. The 'free Marcus Cicero' campaign team demands that you make your case in court. The international trolling community (ITC) demands that you make your case in court. No longer will internet trolls be bullied by regular users. Our rights will be recognised! Freedom will reign! No longer shall you oppress the downtrodden! Lunacy (talk) 19:28, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

In what I will deem "TK's law", you can't believe anyone when they say they are TK (or MarcusCicero or Sparticus for that matter). — Sincerely, Neveruse513 / Talk / Block 19:30, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
In what I deem "Thinking while sober", I don't see any gain in someone claiming to be MC in order to qualify for a trip to the bin. This business with MC was funny at some point, but like 1920s music hall, it's not aging well.--ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 19:38, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
I believe I've "confessed" to being MC on more than one occasion. Do you feel lucky, punk? — Sincerely, Neveruse513 / Talk / Block 19:41, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
That does explain a few things. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 19:45, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

Why are you leaving?[edit]

Damnit, you were one of the cool people here. I hope it's not "leaving and never coming back" sort of stuff. Well, if you return, let me know. Cheers. Gooniepunk2010 Oi! Oi! Oi! 20:48, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

Sooooo......[edit]

User:Gooniepunk2005/laboratory/squad Are you really gone for good? I sure hope not, but just in case..... Punky Your mental puke relief 13:55, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Nah, just moving house at the moment and dealing with a few other things, so probably not around much until January. Your goons barely bruised me. I appreciate the kicking, but they're not motivated as much as they used to be. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 12:50, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
That's good. I saw you had, what looked like, a parthinian shot on your userpage when that bullshit with a certain troll went down, and then you disappeared, so I was afraid you got chased away by said troll before we warded them off. As far as my goons go, they're just tired out. I had to use them back during HCM to ward off the same troll whose name I won't acknowledge. The Goonie Punk Can't sleep, clowns will eat me! 16:49, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
Cheers. I'll admit I needed a little break after that business, since the hassle here just coincided with some real life business. I'm staying here until I learn to spell well enough to become a burocrat. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 17:28, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

Edit Count[edit]

Your own edit count is on your preferences page (link at the top right). There is a page with an edit count for everyone but I dunno where to find it. Let me look... SJ Debaser 22:01, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

RationalWiki:Active users is the page you seek... and I found it before Tetronian pointed it out to me... SJ Debaser 22:05, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

Heh heh, cheers. I've a meagre 876 edits to my name. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 22:12, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
There's also Special:Editcount. LArron seems to be MIA, and hasn't update RationalWiki:Active users in a while. The number in your preferences might differ from the one on Special:Editcount a lot, because the former counts all edits, while the latter does not count deleted edits. -- Nx / talk 22:41, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

On Your Funspace Article[edit]

I'm still in the process of reading it thoroughly, but upon skimming it I already have one issue: It should mention David Farrant possibly making a joke about rival character classes (the main page speculates that the real reason they hate it other is that one is a "priest" and hence a Christian who probably objects to the occult as "witchcraft," and the other is an "occultist").--Mustex (talk) 23:29, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Cheers. Good point. Maybe Farrant could become a warlock. There's potential there.--ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 23:32, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Upon reading your article I realized you did mention him, but I didn't notice because you didn't link. If nothing else, I'd give him a full section. Honestly, I think the real Farrant article needs to be vastly expanded to at least match Manchester's, but sadly I haven't found enough material for a suitable expansion, but you might want to look into a parallel article for Farrant. I think the rivalry between these two is something we can really milk for comedy gold.--Mustex (talk) 23:39, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Hell yeah. I'm tempted to expand the idea of comparing religions to LARP, and those two guys are definitely worth a joke or two. I added a quick warlock reference, but I'll try to expand on that. It would be good to explain why the two characters don't play well together? --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 23:41, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

How goes it?[edit]

Been a long time since I've talked to you. How are things? Gooniepunk2010 Oi! Oi! Oi! 21:59, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

Good cheers. Been busy moving house and stuff, so things are a bit irregular. Main goal right now is to avoid putting on insane amounts of weight, now that I live in the city centre and am surrounded by takeaways. How's stuff at your end? --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 22:01, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
All things considered, things aren't too bad right now. Trying to heal myself and family, of course. But, personal and family business aside, things are neither good nor bad. The Goonie 1 What's this button do? Uh oh.... 22:05, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
At least that's something if there are no extremes. Still thinking of you and the family, and glad to see you around prodding people. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 22:06, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
My family is still reeling from my sister's rape, but, right now, we are also trying to brace ourselves emotionally for the trial, as we fully expect our wounds to have salt rubbed in them 100 times. Thank you for having us in your thoughts, mate. Cheers! Gooniepunk2010 Oi! Oi! Oi! 22:10, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

User:Gooniepunk2010/laboratory/squad Saying I claimed Celine Dion is punk? The nerve! AnarchoGoon Swatting Assflys is how I earn my living 22:20, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Everything sounds like punk if you spend too many nights standing far too close to the speakers. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 22:27, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
While that's technically true, no matter how drunk or deaf I get, Celine Dion still sounds like someone who just got their balls ripped off. Lord of the Goons The official spikey-haired skeptical punk 22:32, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
You have no idea how many Celine Dion's I hear running around outside my house at 3AM any night of the week. Kicking out time at the local chav club. SJ Debaser 22:34, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
Ouch. You get street theatre as well? Where I used to live I used to regularly hear couples outside discussing their relationship difficulties. It normally consisted of the woman screeching something incomprehensible to the man before walking ahead, and the man would yell gibberish at her until he caught up and the cycle continued until they eventually got home and conceived yet another child. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 22:38, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
Last week as I went through my normal three hour struggle to fall asleep, I was disturbed by some young sweetheart screeching "fuck off, just fuck off! I'm fucking pissed off, just fuck off!" Having said that, me and my friends were just as bad we nearly managed to get into a fight yesterday. SJ Debaser 22:44, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I suppose it's give and take. Sometimes though I wish I the power to make pianos fall from the sky. As well as solving the noise problem, I could be the JLA's most disappointing member since Captain Long Nostril Hairs --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 22:47, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Silencing me[edit]

I think DogP put it pretty well to be honest. You're not here that long, so you probably won't understand. In my early days, my most effective trolling was aimed at the likes of RA - people who treated this place like a prelude to their government administration BAs. This place is nothing but buraucracy at the moment - puffed up buffoons in white collars thinking they have even a shred of importance. The reason people are leaving, believe it or not, is not because of me but because of how you react to me. This latest innovation; the burning and silencing of dissenting viewpoints is a dangerous development and would be completely anathema to the earliest members here. Just think of some of the old guard that have left: The Dane, citing the reactionary bigotry of this place; Ardmonikov, citing the childish obsession with 'sorting things out'; DogP, citing the obsession with buraucracy; Bob, who I can only assume is sick and tired of this histrionic nonsense etc. etc. Your more intelligent members are heading for the hills and for good reason.

Of course this will be reverted, possibly burnt forever. Thats how far I've dragged the website down - authoritarian shit like that wouldn't have been countenanced even three months ago. But what would you know, you're just a blowin.

Cut the histrionic crap and quit this obsession with negotiations and buraucracy. Why does this site even exist anymore? Every couple of weeks there's a new drama which forces you all onto the drawing board, citing disagreements over how the site should be run. This site has gone to hell, and I agree with DogP from my entirely objective perspective - you only have yourselves to blame for this puffed up nonsense you call 'consensus'. Good luck with the 'revolution', but you have to expect that people like me will continue to ridicule you all for your pompousness, much like the way you lot ridicule CP for its idiocy.— Unsigned, by: MarcusCicero / talk / contribs

DogP does have a pretty good point. The problem is indeed bureaucracy, in that everyone has their own weird version of it working. This shouldn't be about creating rules that tell us how to piss. It's about having a way of dealing with the rare situation where someone whips out his tadger and starts pissing on people. The problem is that a disruptive action, whether it be someone trolling or someone trying to deal with it, is a polarising factor. We just have to be able to deal with that, and get on with what we're doing here, whether that be writing articles or making fart jokes in block comments. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 22:50, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

That weird forum[edit]

I should have checked if you were a 'crat before I decratted myself. So far, as I read through the transcript, you are the sole voice of reason I am finding. (Still on page two though). There's voices of funny, to be sure, but a whole lot of whining. And yet you say intelligent things intended to help the site without grinding some ax or whatever crappy metaphor I can think of. Good for you. If you're not a 'crat, I hereby nominate you. ħumanUser talk:Human 06:36, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks Human. I'm not after the crat thing, more trying to stop the biweekly blow-ups we have. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 10:49, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
I know. But you were the endless voice of reason as I read through the thing I printed out. CR for President! Haha, let that ride till tomorrow. ħumanUser talk:Human 11:32, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
CR for President! -- Nx / talk 11:46, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
Could I build a mansion on my userpage? I saw how the Tunisian system works, and it seemed that the president would mysteriously end-up building a lot of nice things in their home town. In theory Tunisia could have amazing infrastructure in a hundred years so long as each town can at some point provide a president. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 11:54, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

The man who is never wrong[edit]

Very funny poster. I was subjected to a loud gibbering "lol" when I read the line:

Yes, in hindsight I was completely wrong."

Just popping through to say that Brody Dalle, ex-lead singer of the Distillers is gorgeous. That is all. SJ Debaser 14:54, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Hell yeah. I'm kind of hooked on her stuff right now. Spinnerette is a bit lighter than Distillers but she'd still be hot if she switched to singing gospel covers of Cliff Richard's stuff. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 14:58, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Big time[edit]

You've hit the big time when you have to engage the services of pibot! I'm often appalled at the incredibly long user talk pages I sometimes see on other wikis, not even bothering with manual archiving. ħumanUser talk:Human 01:40, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Manual archiving[edit]

I'm pretty sure Pibot won't mind. It probably couldn't archive that because it was in the 0th section. -- Nx / talk 15:48, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
