- First Jupiter, then my evil organic lying masters!!! Welcome to the Dollhouse! Daisy, Daisy.... PS, I was watching a scratchy copy of 2001 at Boskone 11 (?) where Asimov was the guest nerdthrob and we had to leave. I was a terribly uncool even by geek standards nerd in those freshman days (had a crappy homemade Star Trek-esque badge I wore that wasn't even "accurate", so sad - worse yet, there is a family portrait that memorializes it). I'm sure you are way cooler :) IBM and out! ħuman

- Aside from the 2001 reference, none of that was particularly coherent.

- Ironically, I found this website through Wikipedia's article on Conservapedia. I find its anti-intellectualism disgusting. I can't understand how a conservative brain works; it seems insane to me. 2001 happens to be one of my favorite movies, and I have just finished the book by Arthur Clarke(he says HAL stands for Heuristically programmed ALgorithmic computer, although it could be a backronym). Issac Asimov is also one of my favorite authors. I found this wiki very interesting. It is excellent in countering the ridiculous claims of Conservapedia and Intelligent Design.HAL 9000 00:11, 18 October 2008 (EDT)
- The IBM joke... google it or shall I explicate? Hehe. And seeing the old man in person was like shaking a president's hand... Glad you found us. ħuman

- No, no, I meant everything else. It was terrible writing.

- I'm aware of the IBM-HAL joke. In fact, I was formerly a believer of it. Wow, I wish I could have met Asimov. It's really unfortunate he died at age 72. I can't meet Arthur Clarke either—he died this May. It's too bad you think ħuman 's writing is deficient... it can only be attributable to human error.:) HAL 9000 00:27, 18 October 2008 (EDT)
- I object to RA's whining about my writing, it was perfectly clear. ħuman
