[edit] If you're going to slowly delete the wiki

At least pick up the trash you create in the process. Hugs and kisses, Let my inspiration flow/In token lines suggesting rhythm. 16:22, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

It didn't seem worth it when some galant reactionary was going to undo any attempt at improving the site.--Token Conservative (talk) 16:27, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

[edit] so

how bout that Stothert--MikallakiM 14:38, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

I live in Bellevue. Don't pay much attention to Omaha politics. I do know there's a someone-or-other Merica running for OPS schoolboard though.--Token Conservative (talk) 15:30, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
Not living in OPS, i don't pay much attention to OPS politics :P i didnt even bother voting. --MikallakiM 15:58, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

[edit] Recipe space.

Has been a part of RW since 2007. Thus deleting the shrimp article was not a smart thing to do. Maybe you can stop being a giant noob for a day or so and let the grown-ups run the wiki. Let my inspiration flow/In token lines suggesting rhythm. 15:55, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

And that means it's somehow ontopic because...--Token Conservative (talk) 15:56, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
Because it is. It's recipe space, for Christ's sake. Let my inspiration flow/In token lines suggesting rhythm. 20:32, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
Recipespace is community building. It goes in fits and spurts. I am going to freak the fuck out on your if you keep messing with it. Don't be a noob. Learn our culture before you make unwarranted assumptions. Nutty Roux100x100 anarchy symbol.svg 21:13, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
And what, pray tell, would "freak the fuck out" be?--Token Conservative (talk) 21:37, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
Resist the temptation to be yourself and avoid unnecessary conflict. That's good advice. Nutty Roux100x100 anarchy symbol.svg 21:47, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
"Myself" is trying to make this website not a shithole. If we're going for shithole, it would be nice to let me know so I can help with that.--Token Conservative (talk) 21:51, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
I'm wondering how you figure picking fights with users with several years' worth of experience on the site, a disregard for tradition, a unilateral approach to an inherently collective venture, acting like you think you're the smartest kid in the class, and generally being annoying, humourless and boring brings you closer to your goal. Let my inspiration flow/In token lines suggesting rhythm. 21:57, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
And I wonder why you think being here for longer than me makes recipe space somehow a good use of site resources.--Token Conservative (talk) 22:04, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
If you think we shouldn't have a recipe space, start a discussion about it in the SB or forum and look for some community feedback before you take any action. Deleting a recipe page (especially a quality one) without seeking any input & getting self-righteous when challenged on it isn't a good way forward. I didn't know we had a recipe space. Seriously, wtf?--Token Conservative (talk) 22:19, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
There's obviously a lot that you don't know. That's okay. Why don't you take a cue from your intellectual touchstone and show a little respect for the institutional and social structures that predate your arrival on the scene instead of lashing out like a reckless Jacobin. [edit] Please stop using rollback

If you are undoing good faith edits rather than vandalism, you need to show your working by including an edit summary to make it clear why you are reverting. It really isn't clear to anyone, for example, why you would want to capitalise "Calorie", which isn't a proper noun, & keep undoing attempts to correct this. WěǎšěǐǒǐďWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 23:37, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

Because in the context of the LCD article, it is "Calorie" not "calorie". Big-C Calorie is a dietary calories that has 1,000 little-c calorie. If you want, I can include that in the article, but it is a Big-C.--Token Conservative (talk) 00:04, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
I don't think Weaseloid was necessarily doubting that you were right to revert to capital C, just that as a matter of courtesy it is better to give a quick summary of why you are making the revert in the edit summary. Otherwise nobody knows why you have done what you have done. DamoHi 00:18, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
Carbshark is basically a vandal. I don't see why I need to justify reverting his edits.--Token Conservative (talk) 00:24, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
So you say. You need to justify them because that tends to be how things work around here. Again -- respect for tradition/procedure/established practices isn't a bad thing for the new guy to keep in mind. Faced with mysteries dark and vast/statements just seem vain at last. 00:30, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
He's been here for more than a year, and made many a decent contribution, so hardly the new guy. However we must:
"Remember: unfunny vandalism is often committed by those lacking elementary interpersonal skills, often with a mental age considerably less than their physical age, and such persons should be pitied rather than censured. They are unable to make any meaningful contribution to society and are reduced to attempting to destroy the works of their betters. Do not be harsh; rather invite them to make meaningful contributions. (unless they're totally beyond the pale, in which case marmalise them!)" Tielec01 (talk) 00:35, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
He's been here for a year, but he keeps making bush-league edits that people need to correct him on, so he may as well be a new guy for all the guidance he seems to require. Faced with mysteries dark and vast/statements just seem vain at last. 00:37, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

I can't find any sources that support 'calorie' being capitalised. WèàšèìòìďWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 07:10, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

Ah, found at WP:capitonym: "A practice advocated by some, and not widely followed." I don't see any reason to adopt this non-standard usage. ŴêâŝêîôîďWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 07:26, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

My chemistry textbook says dietary calories are written as k/cal or Calorie. That's what I've been going with.--Token Conservative (talk) 15:49, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

[edit] Why do you claim to be conservative?

I'm genuinely curious. Don't get all touchy and bitchy like you always do, just answer the fucking question. MarcusCicero (talk) 18:12, 25 May 2013 (UTC)
