After the draft, the Broncos are now the most popular NFL team in Jacksonville. - π 08:26, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

[edit] ugh
That we have this article is rather petty.--"Shut up, Brx." 18:21, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- So we're not supposed to refute outrageous claims put forward by Conservapedia, or be snarky? -- Seth Peck (talk) 18:23, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- He plays football, he seems rather good at it, and he's a devout and outspoken Christian. Do we need an article looking for ways to hate on him? This is a petty grudge article, and there isn't much substance to it. We already have articles on abortion.--"Shut up, Brx." 18:28, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- He's an overrated, overpaid prick who was deified in the Bible Belt in his college days. It's an appropriate observation on how fundamentalism acts. Osaka Sun (talk) 18:33, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- I think as a football player he's fine. He's certainly no Michael Vick, but even Michael Vick has found ways to redeem himself (and not just on the field). Reading the Conservapedia article on him (and in particular, the line "Tebow gives frequent interviews to the liberal media and often leaves them speechless") makes him sound like a God in some---OH MY GOD HE HAS THE SAME BIRTHDAY AS ME now I hate him. -- Seth Peck (talk) 18:35, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- Personally, it does just seem like an article to hate a guy. He's not doing anything icky with his religion, he's really not offending the Bronco players as far as I can tell, and he's doing something most religious kids do, "praising god for the win". Personally, I think that's a BS thing to do, credit god for a win, and not worry about millions of dying kids, but that's not really the focus of this article. it seems to just be "we hate religious people who are open about their religion".

- At the risk of making a Schlafly-esque prediction, I have a feeling that he (and the halo over his head, and those that praise it) will become more insufferable as time goes by, to near-Kirk Cameron levels, especially if the Broncos do well over the next season or two. Most of his teammates won't complain because a Super Bowl ring looks good on any finger, but I'll bet at least one will ask him to "give it a rest". I guess we'll see, in time. -- Seth Peck (talk) 18:50, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

- "it seems to just be "we hate religious people who are open about their religion"" Only because at least some people here do just that, I suppose. PintOfStout Talk Good people drink good beer. 22:34, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- As annoying as his in-your-face religious attitude can be, I agree that this article's just really meant to bag on a really religious guy. All those amazing fourth quarter comebacks, though, make it harder to dislike him, as I like the Broncos. I have to admit, I dislike him a little less than when he was with Florida.
