I'm Phoenix from Conservapedia. I read about this place on the LA Times. What do you... do here?-Phoenix 20:03, 19 June 2007 (CDT)

Welcome from Bohdan, CP sysop. Basically here you mock CP and ridicule Christianity. Bohdan 20:07, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
I recommend you stay at CP if you know what I mean :)Bohdan 20:08, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
Hey, Phoenix. Welcome! We encourage rationality and discussion, and have some fun. Pull up a goat and make yourself comfortable. MyaR 20:09, 19 June 2007 (CDT)

Okay you great people with this!?! I'm beginning to think Bohdan might be right... is that all you do, make fun of Christianity? Is he right?-Phoenix 20:13, 19 June 2007 (CDT)

Sometimes Christianity is mocked, that is true. More often than not it is, well, just ignored. I do have to admit that extreme views like YEC get fairly harsh treatment, but write absolutely anything you want. If you don't want others to edit it, label it an essay. Or, if you want input, just note that you prefer people to discuss on the talk page before making changes. If you have an area of expertise, religious or otherwise, go to it! You will find a lot of useless fluff, like the goat stuff, which lightens the mood. But there are a number of serious articles and we are trying to create more. We just don't frown on humorous entries. And if you want to critique a religious idea (rather than mocking) please do. While mocking is ok, it's not real productive. Oh, and our other main legal expert is User:AmesG and i think there is one other as well. The entry on Sodomite needs a legal section.--PalMD-yada yada 20:25, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
I'm not sure we make fun of Christianity as such at all. We do make fun of creationists sometimes, and Conservapedia sometimes. Why don't you take a look at some of the "featured content" on the Main Page? --20:26, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
Well, we have cherry-picked some of the more amusing quotes out of the Bible, but that's mainly by way of mocking a group of individuals who are hardly representative of the whole religion who do the same thing more than attacking the religion itself. Although we do have our fair share of athiests who have a dim view of all religion. --Kels 20:33, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
Goats, while not sacred, are beloved. Before eviscerating the entry, please feel free to discuss changes. The talk page is open, and we have no 90/10 rule--PalMD-yada yada 20:34, 19 June 2007 (CDT)

Okay, sorry PalMD, I see the point, I think. I'll stick around at least to observe, but I don't know if I have anything to contribute. I might write an essay on which I would like contributions. Can I get you guys to stop vandalizing though? If you're the ones responsible for the vandal attacks 24/7, which is what the LA Times made it sound like, well that's just sick. Could you consider stopping that?-Phoenix 20:35, 19 June 2007 (CDT)

And given TK's comments on your CP talk page, you might want to check out his talk page here, or his other contributions, to see what kind of behavior gets one blocked here. As to CP vandalism, I think some of us are responsible for some of it, but not all of us, and not all of it. --jtltalk 20:39, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
Please also note, we direct people to CP, we don't block any mention from even appearing on a page. MyaR 20:44, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
Have a look [[1]], and at the discussion of the topic under "infowarriors handbook" [[2]] to get their opinion on vandalizing. Bohdan 20:46, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
Come on. The IWH doesn't even mention bots. Sad, but true. --Linus(plot evil tech) 21:09, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
We had a lengthy discussion on the Handbook, and we pretty much decided to leave it up, as there seemed no reason to ban it. It is hardly a manifesto of this site, and very few RW users are in any way active on CP at this point, vandal or otherwise--PalMD-yada yada 20:57, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
