RationalWiki Upgrade 2017

Since this morning, RationalWiki.org is running on MediaWiki 1.27.

This is a bit of a facade, since it's just a snapshot which Tim Starling imported and upgraded as a dry run.

This database will be dropped and recreated, so any edits you make will be lost. Sorry!

In addition, search and several other functions are not done yet and will give PHP errors.

Cheers for writing something ... but this isn't even something. Do you have a substantial article you could write for this one? Thanks! - David Gerard (talk) 00:16, 7 June 2015 (UTC)

Bobby Fischer is much better. Sorry if the above was discouraging :-( - David Gerard (talk) 15:49, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

No worries at all, it was a bit discouraging, but I decided to take it as a learning experience. I then chose a subject out of suggested pages that I had a genuine interest in and passion for. Chess has been a passion of mine since childhood, I've studied it and even played competitively. I've studied some grandmasters and for me, Bobby Fischer has always been a) a great chess player and b) a perfect example of a genius's descent into madness. So I believe your comment helped me in that it encouraged me to learn from my previous mistake. QuantumDude (talk) 16:32, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
