[edit] Some of my friends are women and I have a Tori Amos CD
It was just a joke. Just because I crack a joke about domestic violence, doesn't mean that I think domestic violence itself is funny. They were talking about sick jokes on the Chuck Norris page so I thought I'd throw mine into the mix. I've told that joke to female friends who find it funny. And just for the record, I see domestic abusers as two levels below rats and one level below cockroaches. If I offended you then I apologise but seriously, chill. --Let Them Eat Cake (talk) 21:04, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

[edit] You're some kind of biologist, right?
Could you have a look at this, and tell me if it says that trans fat from ruminants might be a good thing? Please, weigh in here--"Shut up, Brx." 22:28, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
- I have an O level[wp] in biology an NVQ[wp] 2 in horticulture, and biology is a lifelong interest, and that's it. However I'm also a vegetarian, so my view is that getting it from ruminants isn't a good thing for the ruminants. SophieWilder 08:35, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- And the internet has completely failed to elucidate for me where A- and O-levels lie compared to associates, bachelors, masters, etc degrees. Wikipedia especially is a pile of fail.
Radioactive Misanthrope 08:59, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- Hmm, you're right. O levels were taken at roughly age 15 or 16. Pass four and you could go on to do two more years of school and do A levels, and it's the A levels that get you into university. SophieWilder 09:43, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- Ah, okay. Thank you!

- It's cool that you're a vegetarian, I just want somebody with the right kind of knowledge to read the study so they can give us their assessment. Sidenote: the transfat in question is also acquired from ruminant milk products. If you don't think you have the knowledge, then I'll just ask Armondikov. And if not him, then I'll probably just remove that bit from the article, due to lack of proper sources (the only one I found so far was from a site that had something of a Dr. Oz "try this stuff, it's great and it'll change your life! and it's all natural!!!" vibe)--"Shut up, Brx." 20:46, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

There wasn't much merit in that talk page of mine staying up, particularly as a lot of it is merely pisspoor personal abuse. I'll just get rid of the article. On that score, you had the power to block me, but not the authority.
Also the fact that some people cannot distinguish between notes & finished product is, erm, worrying. The page was put together mostly using a mobile phone. I cannot edit large reams of text with it, only small sections. Typing is also problematic. -Albannach (talk) 11:13, 12 June 2013 (UTC)

You folk seriously don't know how to be kind to each other. No manners, respect or sensitivity. Even the average Glasgow drunk or religious fanatic has more decency. And that's rich coming from me perhaps, but takes one to know one. You wouldn't last five minutes around here behaving like this. [edit] Help:Mistakes
On the Help:Mistakes page, you rolled back my edits, stating that "homonyms are not simple spelling errors". If you look at the old version of the page, you'll see that I never put information into the article stating that. Instead, I merely attempted to make the "other common homonyms" section a little neater, though in retrospect I think I might not have done that. Would you mind terribly if I undid your rollback? Thanks. FuzzyCatPotato (talk) 14:39, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

With Manning in the news, along with the horrific (national level) news of several murders of trans women/girls (I think one was a teen), I'm slowing goign to be workign to make our "gender" stuff more complete and clear. right now, it's thrown together slop. As I get each article written, would you be willing to look it over for things about transgender that I messed up, over/under stated, or just got totally fucking wrong? I"m new enough to this issue, that i really need to make sure several someone's who are actually educated in this field, say "yeah, that's good enough" or "oh god, what do you think you are syaing!" :-) I'll ask blue, too. Or anyone else you recommend. I'm chatty, sorry. nervous about a job interview. :-) so it's keeping me from being nice and focused. ;-) The first one I'm working on is gender

NAMBLA has become enough of a joke that I think it's appropriate to throw a South Park reference into the first line of the artickle. If you feel strongly otherwise, I won't object to having it put back to the straight literal form. Sprocket J Cogswell (talk) 18:46, 27 August 2013 (UTC)

[edit] Quick Question
Sorry to bother you, but I have a question that relates to your username. Do you ever play the Tales of series of video games? The reason I ask is because your username is a combination of two characters names from that series (Zelos Wilder from Tales of Symphonia, and Sophie from Tales of Graces), and as a fan of the series I was curious. I hope I'm not being intrusive by asking. Protoman (talk) 21:55, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
- Never heard of them, I haven't played video games since the 90s, and that was mainly footie and snowboarding. God, snowboarding, that dates me! My username comes from Sophie Wilder, which is my name, and what it is too. Ahem. SophieWilder
08:04, 28 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you! I just noticed the similarities and thought I would ask. By the way, and I'm just putting it out there, but you have an awesome name! I think Wilder is quite possibly the coolest last name a person can have. Also Sophie is a pretty cool first name. Anyway, thanks again for indulging me! Protoman (talk) 18:50, 28 August 2013 (UTC)

I appreciate the funny, but as Zooguard suggested about New Hitlers we probably need to step back from the ad homs, so I reverted your Dick Cheney edit. It would be good to improve our dinosaur coverage as it pertains to creationism so let's try and keep the categories in line.

[edit] Please delete spam, not edit it
I see that, yet again, you've edited what was clearly a spambot's userpage, making it harder for others (and by others I mean me) to tell if it's spam or not. When I check a new user's userpage, if I don't see a spammy external link, I assume it's legitimate and type out a welcome message. Could you do me the courtesy of just straight-up deleting them from now on, please? Thanks.
