Saint George's Cross has been used as the Flag of England since the Middle Ages, in honour of St George's victory over the dragon invasion of Libya in the late 3rd century.[1] The flag is also used on motor vehicles in England to indicate those drivers with erectile dysfunction.

England is the largest constituent country of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It is known for having a stereotypically prominent upper-class population, though this is not actually the case in many parts of England, and for being wetter than the Atlantic Ocean.

Some cultures (typically Americans) think the terms "United Kingdom," "England," and "Britain" or "the UK" are interchangeable[2] due to England's dominant role in the British Empire and for being the largest country in Britain.

It is known as the home of football and Monty Python. [3] It's also the birthplace of the language you're reading in right now.

Anti-Englishness

One RationalWikian has made his displeasure for English and British culture known on more than one occasion. His scathing (albeit accurate) summary of modern day Englishness is preserved below:

Its not just "a Brit" I dislike but the society as a whole. Drove me nuts. So sue me... The accents, the fat pasty children everywhere, the jingoistic mutants at the pub, the queuing for everything, the scouse's, the television, the insistence of having Big Brother on 24 hours a day and then having it headline news, the rubbish cocaine, the inefficiency, the complaining if it being too hot, too cold, too snowing, not snowing enough, the British tourists fouling up my Cretan beach resort, "Hiya ya-right?", "'foopbawl!", the obesity, the teenage pregancy, the scags, slags, celebrity obsessed reality show watching bags of flesh. etc etc etc...
—Ace McWicked[4]

The offending user has since been sued, winning the case on grounds of "freedom of speech," or something of that nature.
