RationalWiki's 2019 Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff – we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

If everyone seeing this today donates $5, we will meet our goal for 2019.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

Not really, tuition hikes have erased having expensive hobbies for the foreseeable future.

Yeah, price increases have put me almost completely out of new stuff. I'm using Ork Bommers as Vendettas and I can't get Terminators (I prefer the Gray Knight models) to use as support. I bought one box, but hated myself afterward. I couldn't handle the idea of spending $10 on a single plastic guy. Plus one of the managers at one of the GW stores was an entitled jerk who lived with his parents who had no understanding of the value of money and was constantly a jerk about spending obscene amounts of money on Warhammer, lost his girlfriend over it, and probably got fired after me and Dondrekhan complained about how he acted. To show how out of touch with reality he was about money, he showed genuine surprise when I told him I wouldn't buy a paper codex if I bought the one GW sold through Apple. It came up because he said he was going to ban people from using electronic codexes in the store "because they could be illegally copied" even after I told him a very simple solution. Clearly he didn't like the idea of people buying stuff outside of his store. I bought all my stuff at Game Vault after that.

Yeah, that's not a time for Warhammer models.

I only have the one army, the game is too expensive to really consider collecting another 1500-2000 points for another one. I'd sooner just switch to a game that needed fewer models, like Warma-Hordes or Dystopian Wars.

World of Finger Puppets is qute cheap, if you still want the full tabletop RPG experience with the joy of playing with your hands.
