Conservative wingnuttery

This category is for the extreme versions of various "democratic" conservative movements and/or the scams and delusions that are common to social conservatives, nationalists, and most other traditionalists. It advocates for more government than libertarian delusions but isn't as overtly authoritarian and anti-democratic as the authoritarian right, which usually have their roots in more theocratic or fascistic thought. They also tend to be more "mainstream" than either of those and still have connections to more mainstream conservative movements and thought. For instance UKIP is mostly wingnut but wouldn't actually overthrow democracy if elected, whereas the BNP probably would. For the nominal opposite see liberal moonbattery.
