How are these films related to the CP view of things? it all looks a bit random. And where's Sebastiane? It's about something they go on about rather a lot, after all ;) Totnesmartin 15:27, 31 August 2008 (EDT)

Ghostbusters was Steven Bennof's favorite movies. --Toiretni 15:43, 31 August 2008 (EDT)
Karajou's fave is Casablanca, apparently. Totnesmartin 15:44, 31 August 2008 (EDT)

Ghostbusters right wing?[edit]

I didn't know about Ghostbusters having any political leanings. Well, if it had any, I'm sure it would be a left wing film. Arguments for that: the actors who have got political leanings (Murray, Weaver, Aykroyd...) are on the left, the film might be parodying superstition, even the guy who wrote the music is a leftist and after all... it's Hollywood, dammit. Nut conservapedians. --ThaMarine 15:44, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

The film concerns professors leaving a university and a research grant to "go into business for [themselves]," whereupon they are put out of business by an overzealous regulatory official. It is easy to see why Mr. Schlafly should rank it a "conservative" film; he cannot conceive of the idea that liberals might dislike overzealous government regulators as heartily as he pretends to.
