RationalWiki's 2020 Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff – we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

If everyone who saw this today donated $5, we would meet our goal for 2021.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

Devin Patrick Kelley (1991-2017) was the perpetrator of the Sutherland Springs Church Shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas. He was part of the Atomwaffen Division, a far-right hate group.[1] He was originally in the Air Force, but he was discharged. The Air Force failed to stop Kelley from purchasing guns on several occasions. [2] Kelley was an atheist and he was said to be an outcast.[3]

On November 5, 2017, he shot and killed 26 people, including himself, in Sutherland Springs, Texas, in what was the deadliest shooting in Texas history.[4] Around the time of the shooting, there was misinformation going around about the shooter by, to everybody nobody's surprise, the alt-right, claiming Kelley was a far-left supporter.
