why is it that a vast majority of China's population still identifies as atheist? On pain of death sometimes. The Chinese regime punishes believers so there is no real way to get an accurate figure of either religiosity or atheism rates. Acei9 00:40, 21 April 2019 (UTC)

@Ace McWicked Nah, the Chinese government really only punishes Christians and Uyghurs. Practitioners of traditional Chinese religions are generally left alone. Things have come a long way since the death of Mao. Oxyaena Harass 01:39, 21 April 2019 (UTC)
Sorry, I was referencing Christianity specifically. Acei9 01:42, 21 April 2019 (UTC)

It is a mistake[edit]

To equate 'atheists' (of which there are many kinds - most of us do not believe in the gods of Ur of the Chaldees, or the builders of Stonehenge; and there are jokes which make use of a line to the effect - are you a (one religion) atheist or (another religion) atheist) and being 'religiously unaffiliated.' One can belong to a particular faith but not to a specific congregation/strand, or 'agnostic, theist or similar.' Anna Livia (talk) 10:55, 22 April 2019 (UTC)

...ken must be loving this attention. he doesnt care what kind, positive or negative, as long as you are paying attention, you validate him. i know folk have trouble not feeding trolls by always feeding em, but jesus christ, hes not even on this site. your strings are being pulled by someone who does no more than smear the walls with faeces. let me ask you a question - would you be impressed by someone who chooses to take time out of their day to engage in an intellectual debate with a chimp? no matter how reasoned, how profound, how definitively correct their argument may well be, they are debating a chimp who then flings his shit at them, grateful for a target being provided. The chimp wins AMassiveGay (talk) 11:57, 22 April 2019 (UTC)
