It has been commented that it always shows the evolution of #men# not women.

There is a cartoon - chap at the end turns round and askes 'Why are you following me?' — Unsigned, by: 86.162.79.175 / talk / contribs

Chart, or shart?[edit]

I recall having read multiple times that the way this classic chart shows a line progress forward from hunched-over UNIX programmer to upstanding human being isn't actually how evolution works at all, to the point of being disinformative on evolution.

First of all, homo sapiens evolved alongside our modern day great ape cousins from a common ancestor. This chart makes it look like the goal of all other apes is to one day become human or something.

I seriously doubt we should use this graph for the Evolution cover abstract, like we do now. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 11:36, 19 September 2016 (UTC)

Agree! What's the alternative? Herr FüzzyCätPötätö (talk/stalk) 15:52, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
...Any other type of picture related to Evolution? ...That's not wrong? xD Reverend Black Percy (talk) 16:27, 19 September 2016 (UTC)

This image has to go[edit]

And it's an embarassment that it's still being periodically rotated back onto our main page. Even some creationists know not not to use this chart anymore. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 22:15, 29 May 2017 (UTC)

Good post! Here's hoping somebody who isn't me acts... Reverend Black Percy (talk) 14:32, 12 June 2017 (UTC)

@CBF As I say above:

It's not even being used by most Creationists anymore, for this reason. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 15:16, 12 June 2017 (UTC)
