RationalWiki's 2019 Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff – we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

If everyone who saw this today donated $5, we would meet our goal for 2019.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

Fun talk:Goats for poetry affair

I'm sure that I'm being dumb here, but I don't quite understand this. Th unsure.gif You say:

I, Jeeves, will buy one goat for every poem about goats submitted below

And I understand that part, but this bit confuses me:

and donate whatever crap I get from oxfam in return to my donation to the authors of the best poems.

So ... you're going to get something from Oxfam? And what does "in return to my donation" mean?

Then I'm confused by the next sentence:

Probably in scanned form, but if you want it by post I can do that too.

Finally, if I write a limerick - will that count?--Bobbing up 13:48, 5 September 2008 (EDT)

Yes, all forms of verse are acceptable. I guess it isn't really a donation, if I get something in return, but the thing you get in return is of far less value than the money you give the charity, see? See the Oxfam link, anyway. --JeevesMkII 14:12, 5 September 2008 (EDT)
