AAR[edit]
I moved the AAR detail (V 2.0) to AAR section; perhaps AAR should also have an article - or do we just link to WP? I figure that these sections can just give brief overviews, and enough info that if someone wants to go try to listen to something, they can. Deeper history (and AAR certainly has generated a lot of that!) should go elsewhere - IMHO, anyway. humanbe in 11:56, 22 May 2007 (CDT)
I gotta get these people and networks alphabetized. And fill in more details. Hey! This is the article space, someone else can help ;). humanbe in 20:04, 23 May 2007 (CDT)
Vandalism?[edit]
"It recently went bankrupt, possibly in part because nobody listens to it." Seems to be funny and true. Heart♥Gold tx 00:11, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
Okay, that was a dick edit on my part, but in all seriousness, maybe something could be said about the ups and downs. DanH 00:12, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
- Eh, it was funny snark, yes. Feel free to move it in the vandalism page. As far as AAR - fill in the details - better yet, make an article on AAR? The reason I reverted and logged it as vandalism is that it isn't "current" news, the news now is the buyout by the so-and-so brothers, launch of AAR 2.0, etc. Obviously, the ch. 11 is part of the story - the history. You know, like every american airline has done it, it's a routine way to shuck off your bills and keep operating. And, of course, sometimes it's the beginning of the end. (I worked for a company that went ch 11, then ch 7. I now run a business partly supporting their old products. Oh, and here in NH, our electric Co. spent years in ch 11 while building the last nuke turned on in the US. Power too cheap to meter! yeah.... but, I wildly digress! Another company now owns them and I'm paying over 0.10/kwh)
- Oh, and I listen to it, along with NovaM and a few others. So "nobody" is at least off by one ;) humanbe in 00:19, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

Stephanie Miller is the *only* enjoyable lib.[edit]
I am surprised she is not more famous. She is funny. She is wrong. But she is funny. Heart♥Gold tx 21:02, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
- Are you in Texas? Also Al Franken & Randi Rhodes were good before they were cancelled.-AmesG 21:03, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
- Al Franken is boring, dry, unhumorous. His sidekick was a liberal darling who shortly before or after agreeing to work with Frankin was the perpetrator of a hit and run accident while intoxicated....but since I live in a liberal state, powers that be basically kissed her hand instead of doing what they did to Paris Hilton. I can't recall having an opinion on Rhodes, but the name sounds familiar. Heart♥Gold tx 21:07, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
- Al's show was hilarious back when Katherine was still on it, as she provided a great foil to his juvenile humor. Also, the show contained many well put together segments, including the guest visits from his Dittohead childhood friend. humanbe in 21:16, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
- Also it was in a bad timeslot. Not the morning or the afternoon commute. I worked in a cube that summer, so I listened to it on my computer. That was a plus, and I did enjoy it.-AmesG 21:19, 27 June 2007 (CDT)

Please, if we're going to talk about moral turpitude amongst talk radio people, Islamophobe racist anti-semite Michael Savage & drunk divorcee Rush Limbaugh should be first in line :-/. Rhodes is great. A little too vocal, like the liberal Savage, but she had a few gems. She said, "Ann Coulter's idea of foreplay is strangling a puppy." I like that :-) -AmesG 21:09, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
- Really wasn't concerned about the morality of the sidekick, but the special treatment she received. Heart♥Gold tx 21:11, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
Oh, haha. Know nothing about that, but she seemed nice.-AmesG 21:12, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
How's AAR 2.0 doing?[edit]
Any news?-AmesG 21:19, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
"almost" cat[edit]
Incomplete (may never be complete); and the external links lack coherence relative to the sections. IE, they should be integrated better. Also missing links to where to go to listen to this stuff! humanbe in 13:30, 11 August 2007 (CDT)
factoid?[edit]
"Conservative talk radio currently enjoys a 9:1 advantage over liberal talk radio in air time" any chance we can find a quick cite for that? The FD part is easy, heck, Randi has "testified" (in a basement room to an ad hoc minority committee) about that very issue. Although, it's not so much radio dominance, but things such as the "honesty in labelling" issue over Fauz News that might be a bigger issue. Thanks, humanbe in 23:50, 14 August 2007 (CDT)
