So, your goal is that we should read up on one or two of these and say "Got an F in biology in school" or "Also contends that Big Foot has been seen in Seattle?"--Sun mowse.pngEn attendant Godot"To-morrow, when I wake, or think I do, what shall I say of to-day?" 10:16, 3 March 2009 (EST)

Might find some first class nutters worthy of an article on the way. ToastToastand marmite 11:14, 3 March 2009 (EST)
Redlinking them all, or at last a few fistfuls, might generate some activity as people try to de-red them. As it is, this just kinda sits here. ħumanUser talk:Human 21:29, 21 April 2009 (EDT)

Steve Austin[edit]

Professional wrestler? That's not fair, he's got a bionic arm! Totnesmartin 19:37, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

I was having a play on words and referring to this guy. Gooniepunk2010 Oi! Oi! Oi! 19:42, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
This guy beats that guy. And so does his girlfriend. And her dog. Totnesmartin 19:51, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
I see. I didn't know, as that show was before my time (I was born circa 1985).Punky Your mental puke relief 20:02, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Qualified?[edit]

Yes, well, are there ANY people on this list who have studied evolutionary biology?? At all? Anyone? AT ALL??? EVER?? Bttsstewart 08:27, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Anyone? Mei (talk) 18:13, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
Bueller? Mei (talk) 18:13, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

What's the point?[edit]

A bunch of idiots. Is there any way for this to be useful? ħumanUser talk:Human 13:15, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

It's from an actual page, so that's on-mission. Just needs more goat - David Gerard (talk) 13:25, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
I guess, but wow. How about the list of scientists who support an old earth? I think this one is headed for deletion unless it can make sense somehow. ħumanUser talk:Human 14:07, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
"Much" of the list is taken from Creation Ministries International - probably we should go to the original CMI list - David Gerard (talk) 14:15, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
I think it could serve a purpose if it told us where these people got their degrees from, and if it is from a legitimate university, whether they were creationists at the time (Some YECs manage to get advanced degrees from "proper" universities by practicing mainstream science before deciding to peddle pseudoscience to the gullible, which complicates matters somewhat).Nick Xylas (talk) 00:56, 11 June 2014 (UTC)

Delete Keep?[edit]

I don't see the point of listing 300 morons. What are we supposed to do, write articles on all of them? How about the far greater number of people who signed Project Steve? I think this list is dead in the water. ħumanUser talk:Human 14:17, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

If it could be made more manageable (say, only the more prominent scientists), it would be useful to have some information on them. — Sincerely, Neveruse / Talk / Block 14:26, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
Here is the original list - worth refuting? Can rename article accordingly - David Gerard (talk) 14:30, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
I'm open to all ideas. But might be sleeping soon. ħumanUser talk:Human 14:38, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
Taking Dr. James S. Allan as an example, everything except his bio on AIG/CMI is merely listing him as a OEC geneticist. He hasn't published anything. I don't think there's a zinger. You could go though how faulty his logic is, but that would require an article, but he's not worth an article. This doesn't seem feasible at all. Now leaning towards delete. — Sincerely, Neveruse / Talk / Block 14:55, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
Noting how nothing-special these people they list as supporters are might be of value. I've moved the article to what it is (a CMI list) - David Gerard (talk) 15:02, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
Smart move. ħumanUser talk:Human 15:18, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
I've added a rationale to the intro: this is what creationists put forward to support their position - David Gerard (talk) 15:34, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
New new title! I'm using their wording for the title of the list - David Gerard (talk) 16:21, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
I'm Kels and I approve of this message --Kels (talk) 16:28, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
It's a bit unwieldy, but it is their description - David Gerard (talk) 16:30, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

ow ow owwwwww[edit]

This list is an unheralded classic of creationist woo. My head is hurting even verifying the list against the current version of the web page. There's a PLASTIC SURGEON and a PHILOSOPHER listed - David Gerard (talk) 15:59, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

I hope you don't mind if I put the plastic surgeon first. — Sincerely, Neveruse / Talk / Block 16:03, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

relevance - you tube analysis[edit]

  • ae wilder-smith died in 1995 - I have added this to his list entry
  • there is a youtube video which removes all unrelated fields from the list and then emailed each of the remaining people. I believe they came up with two biologists that actually deny common descent.

my error , thats a list titled "Dissent from Darwinism" ,Hamster (talk) 19:29, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

What is an "unanswerable answer"?[edit]

Who would want to answer an answer anyway? Usually people answer a question, or on occasion they may question a question. But answer an answer? --Alienfromspace (talk) 20:12, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Table[edit]

This list would be much more readable in a table. If this wiki's code allows it, it would allow us to sort them by profession, and we'd spot those who have/haven't got a comment much more easily. --Jules.lt (talk) 23:39, 30 November 2012 (UTC)

If you're in the mood for a laborious exercise, go for it! - David Gerard (talk) 08:53, 1 December 2012 (UTC)

MD unrelated?[edit]

I'm not sure we can say that doctors are in a field "completely irrelevant to the subject at hand." After all, medicine requires no small knowledge of human biology.--"Shut up, Brx." 13:33, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

We can, however, say that it's completely unrelated to being a scientist - David Gerard (talk) 14:01, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
Okay. But it should say "not a scientist" then.--"Shut up, Brx." 18:34, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

Jeffrey Dahmer's father[edit]

Seriously? I'd like someone (User:PowderSmokeAndLeather?) to demonstrate to me how the murders committed by Dr. Dahmer's son have anything to do with his - the doctor's - support of creationism. I won't revert it - yet? - because I don't want to get into an edit war, but this is pretty low. The list and the actual areas of expertise of the people on it speak for themselves. Video Gone (talk) 16:00, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

It's an interesting bit of trivia. Might win someone a drink in a pub quiz one day. If I knew the way/I would take you home. 16:16, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
It doesn't entirely sit right with me, considering where and how it's stated. But I'm not supremely bothered, and I do like trivia, so okay. Video Gone (talk) 16:35, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

Pointless complaint[edit]

While updating this, I noticed that CMI's list has alphabetizing issues in the 'H' section. That's fine. It happens. Still, it annoyed me. End of my pointless complaint.MarmotHead (talk) 18:49, 30 October 2014 (UTC)

If you're updating to the 2014 version (thank you!) we should have a link to the 2010 version and noting new names and removed names (you've done some of the latter) - David Gerard (talk) 22:53, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
New names! Yeah, I should have noted those. Will do. I'll also try to get an archived link of 2010. MarmotHead (talk) 15:44, 31 October 2014 (UTC)

Possible Smear about the Serial Killer[edit]

If nobody objects I'm going to edit that part out. Why, hello there. (talk) 11:01, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

Going to give 10 mins. Why, hello there. (talk) 11:25, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
