RationalWiki's 2019 Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff – we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

If everyone seeing this today donates $5, we will meet our goal for 2019.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

Here is the discussion of merging this into spirituality. ħumanUser talk:Human 04:44, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

seems like this is an ex-post-facto discussion, but here's my two cents FWIW: SBNR does seem a little thin as a stand-alone article, but that being said, it is a really particular thing that is pervasive enough to warrant fleshing out a bit--maybe with quotes from celebs and other woo-mongers, or a list of notable people who've adapted that position? Yes, I see no reason for the merge, it was just the whim of one editor, who earlier this evening tagged one of my photo uploads as public domain. Now I wonder what he did to the A-Z boredom editing spree he went on, since this one and the other were both fairly irrational. Anyway, yeah, SBNR was fine as a standalone, it is not the "same" as "spirituality", it's a meme, a neologism, and a very interesting perspective. ħumanUser talk:Human 04:57, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
I like it as a separate topic. As we're not an encyclopaedia, we can go out of the box a little on article subjects. I definitely think it's an interesting perspective that deserves its own article, and at least some further expansion. Scarlet A.pngtheist 10:01, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
It seemed like an obvious merge to me, but I can't say I'm fussed either way. It's a wiki - David Gerard (talk) 12:12, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
