Stephen Lennon's disgusting double standards[edit]

So I went on the Twitter page of Theodore Shoebat. I went on his list of followers and guess who was right at the top? Tommy Robinson (I couldn't get a picture up but look it up for yourselves). So apparently when Muslims advocate the Slaughter of gays, the abolition of democracy, a global religion, the death of blasphemers and the reversal of women's rights it should be fanatically opposed (as if should be), but when Christians advocate the slaughter of gays, the abolition of democracy, a global religion, the death of blasphemers and the reversal of women's rights it's okay. Maybe I'm just making something out of nothing, but this is really getting under my skin. — Unsigned, by: Reg321 / talk / contribs 15:25, 4 August 2016 (UTC}

Reversions[edit]

I reverted changes by Special:Contributions/90.196.210.29. This user had edited a quote from senior police officer Mark Rowley to reverse its meaning, and made a number of other dubious claims none of which were referenced. I don't object to people trying to provide balance or counter-arguments, but they must provide sources and they must not edit other people's quoted words. --Gospatric (talk) 09:39, 10 September 2018 (UTC)

Underage twitter handle[edit]

The image for the 2012 attempts to censor the name of the minor named but fails to censor the mentions of the same name. Shouldn't the handle be censored in every mention? — Godless Raven SDAPOe logo.svg talkstalkwalkbalk 🌹 Flag of Europe.svg 18:04, 18 July 2020 (UTC)

I believe so. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario! 18:33, 18 July 2020 (UTC)

Islamophobe template[edit]

Saw this one user (with a silly username) add the template, with another user removing it. Why would it not fit in this article? --85.76.147.218 (talk) 20:14, 28 August 2020 (UTC)

We normally use only one navigation template per page. The Alt-right one covers the subject better than the Islamaphobia one, in my opinion, so I replaced it. You'll notice that the article is still tagged in the Islamophobia category. Sincerely, the one with the silly username —cosmikdebris talk stalk 21:08, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
Eh, okay. (I didn't actually mean you with that lol) --85.76.147.218 (talk) 21:30, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
Oh, you meant User:Iwillprobablygetbanned? Yeah, there's a lot of silly user names here. —cosmikdebris talk stalk 21:36, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
Aye, them. --85.76.147.218 (talk) 21:53, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
@Cosmikdebris The Alt-right is antisemitic, Tommy Robinson isn‘t. That‘s why I think he isn‘t Alt-right. Iwillprobablygetbanned (Talk to me!) 11:00, 29 August 2020 (UTC)
I don’t think that the alt-right is necessarily antisemitic, as it is a very broad movement and I see it falling into two separate views on that topic: Those following the more classical Neo-Nazi view are, of course, extremely antisemitic, while those who focus more on Islamophobia tend to be very pro-Israel (as in “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” and they also see Israel as basically a model for an ethno state) and in Europe, the latter strain seems to me to be more dominant. ScepticWombat (talk) 17:03, 29 August 2020 (UTC)
@ScepticWombat The last description would rather fit into the New Right (Europe) (Geert Wilders e.g.) than the alt-right like Richard Spencer. Iwillprobablygetbanned (Talk to me!) 18:46, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
I’d disagree with that, depending on exactly how you define the New Right and where you draw the distinction between it and the alt-right.
If you define the New Right mainly in terms of the Nouvelle Droite derived style “intellectualism”, then you’ll end up with something more like Generation Identity and I don’t think that Robinson fits well within this “intellectualistic” style (references to “high culture” and positioning yourself as a sort of intellectual, cultural critic), but that he instead is a lot closer to the style of the alt-right (meme driven YouTube activism).
Basically, I think that there are important differences in style and positioning, as well as in strictly ideological contents, that need to be considered when drawing such distinctions, because these choices also matter, as it makes a difference whether you essentially try to present a “populist” image (alt-right) or an “elitist’ one (Generation Identity). ScepticWombat (talk) 19:26, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
PS, I’ve undone your changes to New Right (Europe), since they completely ignored the involvement of the Islamic Party of Britain, which makes the Islamophobic label problematic. It may be that your changes have merit, but at least have the courtesy of raising your concerns on the article talk page (as you very appropriately did here) before changing categorisations 180 degrees from Islamic extremism to Islamophobia. Lots more details…[edit]

…of the criminal micromind's “done nuffink wrong!!” activities here: https://www.the32ndfloor.com/trackers/the-life-crimes-of-tommy-robinson I'm pretty sure he contrived to get himself arrested in Switzerland too, but my Google-fu is playing up again It's in the article wot I just linked to – 2011, £3000 quid fine and three days in chokey for a rooftop protest at FIFA's Zürich HQ following a ruling that England’s foopball team could not wear the poppy symbol on their shirts.
