Fun talk:Washington, D.C.
A note about the picture of the capitol. I was in DC for the unveiling of the Po'Pay statue - the second statue from New Mexico added to the National Statuary Hall in the US Capitol, and the 100th statue to the collection. (each state -there are now 50 - gets two) Much of the crowd that day consisted on Pueblos who had come to see one of their own make it to Washington. The Pueblos being much into eagles, noticed that there was a bald eagle flying around the building that day, eagles being somewhat rare in DC, and it was seen as being a good omen. In this shot you can just see the fellow to the right of the dome, about halfway up (or down, I suppose). Life is supposed to be interesting. Carptrash 15:13, 7 December 2008 (EST)
