2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $10, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

"Earth-shattering"? Minnesota isn't even an earthquake zone!

Yes we do. It's just that the strongest one ever recorded in Minnesota was a 3.8 in 2010. Not even enough to knock shit off walls.

"Strongest in 2010"? It must be global warming!

Nonsense, it's global cooling! The earth was shivering, is all.

Kels (talk)02:10, 26 November 2012

Nonsense. Warm things expand, the earth is warming, therefore its crust is just a bit too small for it now. Instant earthquake!

Well, that's true. Neal Adams said the earth was expanding so that fits with the evidence.
