RationalWiki's 2019 Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff – we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

If everyone who saw this today donated $5, we would meet our goal for 2019.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

Donations so far: $2900Goal: $6000

I'm just a new arrival here, and I found you guys ( I gather you are almost all guys!) from a post in the Comments section of an article on the CBC website (yup, that's the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation). Anyway, I looked briefly at Conservapedia, as I could only stand it briefly, but this seems to be more fun. I live near Brooks, in Alberta, at about 50 degrees north, which is less than a hundred miles from the Montana border. I have a small private practice in psychology, as I am dithering about whether I should be retired, but I can't afford to retire, and besides, my line of work is fun. I was an English teacher for about ten years, and then completed a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, in 1988, and have worked in that field ever since. I have studied and read philosophy, formally and informally all my life.

More later, Oct 1, 2009, Janice (Yes, I used my real name!)
