RationalWiki's 2019 Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff – we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

If everyone seeing this today donates $5, we will meet our goal for 2019.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

Moved RJW[edit]

Hi,

I moved User:Blaze_007/Reactionary_justice_warrior to your userspace. The article isn't ready for mainspace yet. It doesn't have many sources and it's clearly pushing an agenda.

In addition, I'd suggest the term "Status Quo Warriors" instead -- it's got more people using it [1] [2] :) 32℉uzzy; 0℃atPotato (talk/stalk) 05:02, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

On reactionary justice warriors[edit]

For dog whistles, rhetorical appeal beats out logical appeal every time. If you're looking for a term, I suggest either "Status Quo Warrior" (rhetorically parallel to SJW) or "Radical Centrist" (very widely used + implies that their criticism of social movements is just rooted in their inability to accept change). Herr FüzzyCätPötätö (talk/stalk) 07:02, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

@FuzzyCatPotato "Radical Centrist" isn't a good term. Radical centrismWikipedia's W.svg is an actual political term doesn't mean "socially conservative". Anti sjw is more fitting as it describes them perfectly, they are anti social progress. By describing anti sjws as "Radical Centrist", it distracts from what anti sjws are about- being against social progress- and it implies that anti sjws are moderates in any form. Anti sjws are not radical centrists as they are not centrists at all. —ClickerClock (talk) 07:11, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
Also "Radical Centrist" is a pretty unknown term. I have never heard of it before. I think using unknown terms just makes people on the fence more reluctant to join us. Alienation of beginners is a serious problem that social justice is not solving. —ClickerClock (talk) 07:13, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

@ClickerClock Use quotes around the terms. FuzzyCatPotato!™ (talk/stalk) 16:52, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
