I'm loving PJR's reply. He seems to think that scientists stick with evolution pretty much entirely because they're great big meanies and they won't let the creationists play in their sandbox, and not because it's, y'know, useful or anything. Still referring solely to Creation on the Web, too, which continues to have the credibility of my cat. The reference to rapid plate tectonics is interesting, but demolished here, and based on what I could find of his concepts on Google, would require something far more catastrophic than a Global flood to accomplish, which would absolutely have wiped all life from the face of the earth, wooden boat or no wooden boat. --Kels 10:47, 25 January 2009 (EST)

Holy hell, according to The Only Website That'll Tell You The Truthtm, the continents moved in a matter of hours! The mind boggles. --Kels 11:08, 25 January 2009 (EST)

What is really depressing as a graduate student in evolutionary biology is that PJR clearly does not know any scientists, any graduate students, and yet is absolutely certain that he knows how we think, our motivations, and how we work. It is frankly insulting to be called a fraud by someone too lazy to actually, you know, talk to the people whose work he is utterly dismissing based on fallacies, ignorance, and incorrect, idealized versions of science. It is also insulting to have research disregarded by someone who has clearly made the effort to track down primary research papers and read them for himself. For that matter, has he ever read an actual paper? It is really appalling that he thinks his thinking is so logical and his attitudes so civilized. Depressing, indeed, given that he otherwise seems like someone likely to be quite kind and thoughtful. — Unsigned, by: a bunch of numbers / talk / contribs
