Your name sounds familiar[edit]

Now I only have to remember where I've heard it before, or find out if it's a false memory.--ZooGuard (talk) 19:34, 19 March 2015 (UTC)

You said you heard my name before. I'm not sure whether you meant my real name, Michael E. Arth, or my RationalWiki name, Mearth, which also happens to be the name of Jonathan Winters' character on Mork and Mindy. He played the "child." (Orkans age backwards). MEarth Project is also a USF-funded, robotic observatory (since it looks out into space, it looks backwards into the past). Anyway, thanks for the welcome. I'll try to live up to my screen name and I will try to look forwards.Mearth (talk) 21:44, 19 March 2015 (UTC)

Learn some internet manners[edit]

Showing up on a website and link-spamming your pet project disguised as a collaboration between that website and you is presumptuous and downright rude. I especially love the part about how only original authors can edit certain articles. Yeah, we'll gladly change our entire approach and culture because someone with three edits to the wiki thinks it's a good idea. Go work on your little project, and if we notice it on our own, we'll write our own article on it. Peace. AgingHippie (talk) 13:49, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

Misunderstanding[edit]

Aging hippie, I'm sorry it was not clear in my article, but the seed article is just the seed, and it shouldn't be changed because it's important to see how the topic starts out. The collaborative article is a duplicate of the seed article, plus collaboration. The wiki-topics could just as easily consist only of the collaborative articles with the seed just being the first iteration. But I guess it doesn't matter now, since you deleted the whole thing. If you're trying to make an honest proposal for RW to engage in some experiment in AI, mainspace is not the place for that proposal, and declaring on your own initiative that RW will be taking part is either a non-statement about using RW material in accord with CC BY SA 3 or a brash unilateral policy decision. Basically, if you have some idea for RW to take part in this experiment, bring it before the mob first. PacWalker 14:29, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

The Mob[edit]

OK, PacWalker if you think I can get anywhere with it. The key point is that it's not spam, because it's about (rational, evidential) ideas, not profit. How does one "bring it before the mob" after it's been assassinated by the mob? Mearth
