RationalWiki's 2019 Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff – we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

If everyone who saw this today donated $5, we would meet our goal for 2019.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

Donations so far: $3220Goal: $6000

The Ten Commandments as natural law[edit]

A more profound understanding would be to acknowledge that every person has some value that is paramount to them (career, money, power, ego etc.) Thus it can be said that everybody 'worships' something. Importantly, what we value most influences every aspect of our life. This commandment takes precedence to highlight that the only person you should give highest worth to is God.

The fact that God is mentioned in this commandment does not, by default, show a divergence between the Ten Commandments and Natural law. History would argue that is not natural to disregard the existence of a Creator, since atheism is a modern phenomena that goes against an understanding of the cosmos that most of humanity shares, as well as humanity's innate desire for the infinite (which can only be explained by the existence of God).

First, I'd like to note that you'll probably get pushback for putting pro-theism views into articles.

Second, I think this claim is ridiculous. "Atheism is a modern phenomena [sic]"? Sir ℱ℧ℤℤϒℂᗩℑᑭƠℑᗩℑƠ (talk/stalk) 22:17, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
