being useful
Your a jerk I wanted to be useful and not a wandal for a change! Mei is NOT useful!
- How is it useful to make loads of pages connecting to me to some random facebooker? How is that useful??? -- Mei (talk) 02:55, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thats my facebook and I wanted to be you because Shyenne said your cool
- If you make an account you can link to your facebook page. You can't steal my identity, though. I'm just not okay with that surprisingly. ^______^ -- Mei (talk) 03:03, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- (EC) Wow. How Single White Female can you get? This is creepy, troll. I'm really starting to believe that you're an Ed Poor sock drawer. The Foxhole Atheist (talk) 03:05, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- No, no, don't give up your block power. I'm just playing with you because that's what
Iwe do, Mei is useful.

- Lol, Ed Poor. Fuck Ed Poor. Fuck 99% of the wiki scum that block all of us. In fact, fuck shyenne for trying to become some of that wiki scum. I love you shyenne
- Yo, can you rename me to User:Brianna?
Mei is "hen" useful! SRQ girl (talk) 17:36, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
False memory syndrome article
could you have a look at the draft I did , and the talk page of the original and decide if my draft is adequate for now. ? If it is then please swap it over. I have added a link to the original article at childabusewiki. A nifty box like the one for conservapedia would be great :) Hamster (talk) 19:17, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
RevisionDelete
When this was introduced to the Wiki, it was strictly for the purpose of removing legally dubious disclosures of personal information. See here and here for background. ListenerXTalkerX 20:53, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for making your case. The debate you have cited does not support your claim. RevisionDelete was introduced when we realized we needed to remove personal information, yes. But there is nothing to suggest it was 'strictly for [this] purpose'. It has been used since for other things. You must have noticed. -- Mei (talk) 21:03, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- I have not noticed it being used in any other manner and not promptly undone thereafter. We do not use it beyond disclosures for the same reason that we do not delete talk-pages; see here. ListenerXTalkerX 21:17, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
- Sadly that page doesn't seem to match current RW policy. We also hide revisions for libelous claims now, for example. I should bring that page up to date some time. -- Mei (talk) 21:24, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

The Konata stuff
Could you please start putting some licensing templates on this stuff, otherwise I am going to delete the lot. They appear to be the worst copy infringement on the site. - π 01:11, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hello Pi. I have been thinking about how to attribute those images for a while and I believe they are actually impossible to justify. In a second I will delete them and upload original works. The quality of my work may scare you. This is a warning. -- Mei (talk) 01:46, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- How about we pay Kels to draw you some stuff? - π 01:47, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- The issue is, even if you draw Konata yourself, it's still a copyrighted character and potentially a problem. I think. -- Mei (talk) 01:49, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- I don't think you can copyright a character per say, but if you drew something that looked like Mickey Mouse and you tried to pass it off as Mickey Mouse Disney would sue you for trademark violations. - π 01:51, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- I wonder how they'd copyright an anime character? It would seem like a penguin trying to sue other penguins for being black, white and penguin shaped. --Ask me about your mother 01:59, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- Do you think my new Meiday.png is original enough? -- Mei (talk) 02:04, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

(undent) I miss the usual strange waving thing, but at least this version looks like a super hero logo. --Ask me about your mother 02:28, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- Can anyone see the Madotsuki sitelogo yet? -- Mei (talk) 02:31, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- I can now. - π 03:03, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

- Mei is still useful, Mei just made a mistake. We all do. ħuman 09:10, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
Dear Mei--
Dear Mei--
I thought about sending you an e-mail and then figured it would be better to get you a message on-wiki.
Your user page/comment in the Saloon gives me the impression that you're "leaving and not coming back," as they say. I hope you're only taking a short break and that we'll see you on-wiki again sometime soon. You do good work here (VERY useful) and make smart and funny comments--in other words, pretty much the perfect editor. Yeah, you dropped the ball a bit with the "delete" thing, but who cares? Not us. Certainly not me, not after my massive screw up a couple years back where I deleted the WIGOCP talk page and pretty much crashed the server. People (like Trent!) were angry, but got over it quickly. Good times.
Anyway, hope to see you soon under one name or another. Take good care.

- I'm similarly concerned. Mei and - are equally useful. --Ask me about your mother 16:59, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- Agree with both of the above. We all love Mei and we all make mistakes. But Mei is useful and you, Mei, also are one of the coolest people on this site. Do not go! AnarchoGoon Swatting Assflys is how I earn my living 02:37, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
- I never make "hey, don't leave" comments when somebody threatens to leave, but for you I make an exception. So... hey, don't leave! The wiki would be less fun without you. And whatever you did to mess up the wiki (I don't know, I've been away) 1. can be fixed 2. is a result of you actually trying to improve the wiki, most likely. The worst that can happen is that your name will become a verb, which really isn't so bad (in most cases). Corry (talk) 07:44, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
