Although I am not against it, doesn't the mention of his sexuality smack of gossip? His inclusion on RW is for his debunking of woo rather than being a crusader for gay rights. Jollyfish.gifGenghisRationalWiki GOLD member 10:49, 7 August 2008 (EDT)

Take out if you want. I only put it in because I wasn't aware of this before & thought it was interesting. But that isn't necessarily grounds for inclusion, so if you want to remove it, go ahead. Weaseloid 11:10, 7 August 2008 (EDT)
Gay men have a bad rap with so much of American Culture, I'm all for any *open* gay who is successful being highlighted as gay. It kinda reminds us that "yes, johhny there are gay people in the real world who don't just do hair or interior design".--Waiting for Godot 11:43, 7 August 2008 (EDT)

whats a sceptic[edit]

is this misspelling or meant as a joke? — Unsigned, by: Nailo1 / talk / contribs

stooges[edit]

I thought this site was RATIONAL Wiki. IF so, then why would there be an article about NOT using stooges when it has already been PROVEN that he does? — Unsigned, by: 198.255.149.63 / talk / contribs (signed by bot) 08:51, 13 December 2014 (UTC)

This claim that he has been proven to use stooges badly needs a citation, doncha think? 2.24.119.165 (talk) 13:47, 10 June 2020 (UTC)||

According to these wikipedia links derrenbrown.co.uk/apocalypse-qa/ and https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/derren-brown-slams-hurtful-accusations-zombie-apocalypse-victim-was-fake-8268993.html he's denied such accusations and the only evidence of stooge work is that the subject of the Apocalypse Special also has a CasstingCallPro account. We should probably delete that claim since there's no evidence he's a stooge beyond circumstance. — Unsigned, by: 216.224.228.155 / talk

NLP[edit]

If we're going to include the claim he doens't use NLP, we need to list the times when he claims to be using some of its principles as part of his mentalism. The big example was that one time in the mall where he put a "secret message" in a mall announcement that made everyone hold their hand up all at once.

This, BTW, is also one example where, without NLP, it means he must have used stooges. Just because he says he doesn't is not sufficient to believe him. He also lies about not using video fakery, as he obviously did in his lottery special, as revealed by Captain Disillusion. Trlkly (talk) 06:15, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
