Real life intrusion alert

You are nothing but a passive vessel from which other people can reap benefits. This is freedom.
—Scott Lemieux

My medium-term goal is to write a bunch of stuff.

So far:

To do:

(Full list of planned stuff here.)

Who I am and what I do here

I've been a part of this site since late 2007. I did a lot of stuff around here in 2008 and 2009, then semi-retired for 2010 and 2011. I'm glad I missed the May 2011 debacles. I'm increasingly disinterested in wikipolitics; it's a lot of effort (emotionally and temporally) for minimal results.

Do not be fooled by my edit rate; I tend to skim articles, making minor fixes as I go through sections.

I do sometimes rewrite whole sections or entire articles. Sometimes I start essays or projects, promising to finish them, but never do. Sometimes I just put things in alphabetical order, because who doesn't love the alphabet?

I have a personal citation style[1] that I quietly enforce on the wiki (because APA and MLA are unreadable, amorphous gobs of text to the layperson).

  1. Basically, it's: Author. "[URL Title]." Publication. Publish date., with tweaking as needed for extra details.

More about me

When I joined this site I was 18, barely out of high school, and had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I'm 23 now and have a much better idea, and a definite plan for getting there. This plan involves going to business school.

I'm a bisexual in a town where non-heterosexuals aren't supposed to exist.

I like cake, and don't understand people who like coffee, alcohol, or dark chocolate.

I love writing, and can be found on FanFiction.Net and on FictionPress.

I also love talking with people, so feel free to drop by on my talk page or email me about anything.

Incomplete list of stuff I started

All the early articles were token efforts. I don't think I started writing more complete articles from scratch until late 2012.
