I was wrong, Jpatt still does stuff on Conservapedia. Thanks to his insights I now know about the Obama Manifesto.

This essay is more focused on exposing Conservapedia's attempts at tying in their enemies with dictators and evil people from the past, rather than getting involved too much with American politics - as a Brit, it's not really my business to look into America's domestic policy.

Introduction[edit]

The Obama Manifesto is a carbon copy of the Fascist Manifesto created by the dictator Mussolini in 1919. While there is no actual Obama Manifesto in existence, the similarities are strikingly obvious.

Let's just have another look at the second sentence there, shall we...?

There is no actual Obama Manifesto in existence...

The fact that Jpatt is openly admitting that there is no such thing as an Obama "Manifesto" yet still decides to write an essay slandering Obama with fascism really speaks to Conservapedia's output as the trustworthy, "Wikipedia-has-become-very-biased-so-we're-doing-it-better" website.

Comparing the Fascist and Obama Manifestos[edit]

Guns![edit]

Fascism sez: "The nationalization of all the arms and explosives factories."
Obama sez: "Regulate all arms and munitions, 120 measures before Congress today."

There is no reference for "120 measures before Congress today," so I don't know what that's all about. I googled obama regulate firearms and got 65'200 results. I clicked on a few links and from what I can tell, he hasn't set about making any major gun regulation reform. So essentially, Jpatt is comparing Mussolini nationalising the making of firearms with Obama doing nothing. The similarities are strikingly obvious!

Taxes![edit]

Fascism sez: "A strong progressive tax on capital that will truly expropriate a portion of all wealth."
Obama sez: "A strong progressive tax on capital that will truly expropriate all classes."

Obama hasn't made any tax reforms yet. Systems all over the world have used and still use progressive taxation, including America[1] and Britain[2], and they aren't regarded as "Fascist" by normal people.

Religion![edit]

Fascism sez: "The seizure of all the possessions of the religious congregations and the abolition of all the bishoprics, which constitute an enormous liability on the Nation and on the privileges of the poor."
Obama sez: "Divides, lies to and undermines U.S. religious groups and institutions plus Obama puts additional burdens on congregations."

Oh yeah, Obama lies about his religion: he's a Muz-lem, doncha know?

PLUS, he puts additional burdens on congregations. References? Pfft... they're for faggy liberals!

Nationalisation![edit]

Fascism sez: "The formation of a National Council of experts for labor, for industy, for transportation, for the public health, for communications, etc. Selections to be made from the collective professionals or of tradesmen with legislative powers, and elected directly to a General Commission with ministerial powers."
Obama sez: "The formation of government czars with powers to influence all matters leftwing (auto, infotech, internet, energy, chief performance, drugs, faith-based, TARP, stimulus, GITMO, non-proliferation, terrorism, border, healthcare; 44 in all)."

"Government czars" rather than "government experts" is used to obviously make the Obama Administration sound totalitarian, and the lack of sources tell me - as with the rest of Jpatt's essay - that Obama has yet to take over American life through the long arm of the government.

Minimum Wage![edit]

Fascism sez: "A minimum wage."
Obama sez: "A minimum wage."

What about all these countries with minimum wage, Jpatt? Are they fascist too? God forbid a man is paid a wage he can live on to avoid him having to eat his children when he can't afford food!

Workers![edit]

Fascism sez: "The participation of workers' representatives in the functions of industry commissions."
Obama sez: "Reinvest in workers' representation like Card-Check that will put the govt in control of labor disputes, with a duty to grow unions membership over industry. Give Unions greater share of auto companies earnings, more than stockholders."

So, basically, labourers should just shut up and get on with it.

Moar Nationalisation[edit]

"The following industries have some type of newly created federal ownership; Automobiles, Financial, Insurance, (Healthcare) is on the agenda, (Energy) is on the agenda."

Can I haz sources, please?

Oh yeah, gay liberals, I forget...

"In addition, new regulations or government controls are being placed on the tobacco industry, media, food and beverage industries. Other industries may suffer the same fate; energy, plastics, oil, timber."

Ohhhhhh, noooooooo, not-a timber![3]

Sources?

Nah, it's cool!

Teh[4] The Second Amendment[edit]

"Under the Obama administration, the sales of weapons has quadrupled."

They've certainly increased[5], but quadrupled? Sources please!

"This is out of fear that these rights will be taken away and weapons will be banned by Obama. Obama's Attorney General Eric Holder is anti-gun. Obama's judicial nominee for the Supreme Court Sonia Sotomayor is not empathetic to the Second Amendment."

But have they yet done anything to change gun legislation? Nope.

Conclusion[edit]

All in all, this essay is just another brick in the wall. When talking about Obama's policies, Conservapedia have always had a tendency to take more of an "it hasn't happened yet, but if I throw enough words on the screen, it'll make it look like it has" attitude - as displayed in the opening paragraph; "there is no actual Obama Manifesto in existence", yet they see fit to dedicate a page to it, while poor vagina gets a redirect.

Anyway, the essay has literally no references which further prove the point that they're waiting for Obama to do something socialist/fascist (same thing according to CP). As for trying to tie Obama in with the extreme movement of Fascism (not to mention the other attempts at Communism and Nazism) Conservapedia have once again failed miserably, and I walk away having wasted an hour of my life pointing this out. Goatspeed!
