Fair use

Fair use rationale for use in the article Jack Chick

Even though the media Crusaders 6 Primal Man Haw Haw Haw.jpg is copyrighted and not released under a free license, I, Cosmikdebris, feel it is covered by fair use for at least one of the following reasons:

  • No free alternative exists.
  • The subject of the photograph is deceased, therefore a "new" image can not be created of this person.
  • The image is of significantly lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of inferior quality).
    • Single panel from The Crusaders 6, "Primal Man," used to illustrate Chick's idiosyncratic dialogue style
  • The placement in a RationalWiki article is being used for informational purposes only, and its use is not believed to detract from the original copyrighted media in any way.
  • A free alternative may not exist now, but in the event of a free alternative being located for the article "Jack Chick" in the future, this file should be deleted as soon as possible.
