Cancer link[edit]

The article suggests mitochondria is part of the cause of cancer. I thought most cancer was acquired mutation of autosomal DNA, commonly p53 or BRCA on chromosome 17. If mitochondria have some combined effect, I am not aware of any studies suggesting this. This article suggests the opposite, that functional mitochondria are essential to malignant tumors, and that targeting them could be a form of therapy.[1] Red Squirrel (talk) 08:32, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
