Needs big update[edit]

Needs big update on 2019 general election, and stuff since then. Will work on it. Oenophyta (talk) 23:06, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

I'm politically homeless and was originally interested in Reform UK with their talk of policies about electoral reform (introducing proportional representation) and reforming House of Lords. Unfortunately they turned into an anti-lockdown crank party and their only policy launches are higher economic growth I don't support (I'm an anti-capitalist) and some boring thing about cladding which doesn't interest me. Very disappointing. It's therefore not much a surprise they are polling so low 2-4%. Oenophyta (talk) 23:22, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
It's transformation into an anti-lockdown party was disappointing, though not too surprising. And now with Farage gone, I can see Reform going the same way UKIP went - lower and lower in the polls with a string of leaders, each one more fringe than the previous. --RWRW (talk) 07:36, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
I'm amazed that UKIP seems to be campaigning in the Scottish Parliament Elections (May 2021); but as long as this sort of party has one rich donor and a few followers, they can keep on going for a long time. Regarding the article on Reform UK, in recent months I've tried to update it without doing a major rewrite but would definitely agree it needs more work now its MEPs are all out of work, Tice has taken over from Farage, and Reform UK has changed its focus: covering policies, personnel, funding, etc. --Annanoon (talk) 09:35, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
Looking forward to when Neil Hamilton loses his seat in the Senedd. Horrible man. If Hamilton loses his seat, UKIP won't have an elected politician above local councils Oenophyta (talk) 12:35, 17 April 2021 (UTC)

2019 elections[edit]

I restructured the article a bit, and nuked the list of the 2019 MEP intake. I think it would be fine to have details about some of the high-profile ones, such as Anne Widdecombe, but some of the descriptions were pointless (e.g "Matthew Patten: Charity Director. Believes that British Politics is broken" or "Ben Habib: Former Chief Executive of First Property Group. Former Tory Donor"). I don't think the page should be focusing on on this, especially seeing as these folks only served as MEPs from July 2019 - January 2020 and have since faded back to obscurity. --RWRW (talk) 18:03, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
