Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Help! I need color assistance on this template!!!--PalMD-Goatspeed! 11:22, 6 July 2007 (CDT)

What colors do you want, Doc? humanbe in 12:38, 6 July 2007 (CDT)

It's just frikkin hard to get the damn vowel marks under the letters...I like blue field and white letters if possible.
Remember that 70-odd dpi makes a mish mash of complex characters. I'll see if I can set it up white on blue and have the letters sharp? humanbe in 12:47, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
It's the damn vowels...they are supposed to be under the letters. Maybe ill just come up with one without vowels to make it easier...162.82.215.199 12:51, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
OK, now I "think" I understand. Aren't there characters below for that? If you can find them done right anywhere on the web you can copy them one character at a time, probably. humanbe in 12:54, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
Ok, i did it myself from below, ditching the vowels, now if we can just slim down the font size a bit.162.82.215.199 13:03, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
I tried unbolding it, it just looks worse. Essentially, the characters are too complex to resolve well at this size. Remember that the latin alphabet has gone through a lot of simplifications making it easier to display on a monitor (etc.). Imagine how old english fonts would look at this size... humanbe in 13:19, 6 July 2007 (CDT)

I think I dig it now...thanks for the help.--PalMD-Goatspeed! 13:30, 6 July 2007 (CDT)

By the way way, "info-fs" provides the font size for the message. You could reduce it from 12 rather than using "small". I tend to increase the font to fill the box so I can read 'em! humanbe in 13:36, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
More "f"s is bigger or smaller?--PalMD-Goatspeed! 14:17, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
Not f's, the number. "info-fs" is a variable, and defines the typesize in the big box. smaller numbers are smaller. info-fs=8 is smaller than info-fs=12. And info-fs=10 is in between then. If you want we can try to cover all these variables somewhere easy to find. humanbe in 14:35, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
Thanks, figured it out...if I were less lazy, my sophistication on this would be better.--PalMD-Goatspeed! 14:38, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
To say nothig of my garbled instructions! Ignore all the f's above, it's just "info-s"! humanbe in 15:06, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
Looks just fine. Vowel marks are for lazy losers anyway. :nods: --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 18:38, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
For us pitifully monolingual folks, what's this say? And more importantly, is that bread as yummy as it looks? --jtltalk 18:41, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity", from Psalm 133. And yes, indeed it does, if made right.
Hmm. Now I'm hungry. --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 19:02, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
if anyone cares, it's pronounced "hee-nae mah-tov oomah-nai-yeem, shevet a-cheem gom yachad". Though's its really annoying that there's no english equivalent for 'chet'. Thunderkatz 19:10, 6 July 2007 (CDT)

My girlfriend's grandfather was a baker, and passed an amazing recipe for Challah down to her dad, and this one time we visited her house, we handmade a couple Challots. It was amazing. Braiding is real hard though.-αmεσg 18:56, 6 July 2007 (CDT)

When i created the template, i also made it link to an explanation page, so you can just click for translation, etc. Also, I'll post my world famous challah recipe at some point.--PalMD-Goatspeed! 21:07, 6 July 2007 (CDT)
Please tell me there's no goat in it. --jtltalk 00:46, 7 July 2007 (CDT)
