Yeah, there's no way that Australia is getting it's filthy mits on NZ and Papua New Ginuea!

We don't want EnZed. PNG is a more complicated issue. We don't want to rule the joint but we do want their stuff.

MtDPrematurely Indeterminate02:00, 10 March 2012

What about West Papua? You need to "liberate" it.

Peter horas non numero nisi serenas02:11, 10 March 2012

Heh, yeah. Coz the Indonesians took the whole East Timor thing so well.

MtDPrematurely Indeterminate02:13, 10 March 2012

future Indonesia, despite uniting Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Brunei, didn't take east Timor btw

il'Dictator Mikal02:19, 10 March 2012

I assume that's because a stray ICBM landed there, or something - why else?

Peter horas non numero nisi serenas02:23, 10 March 2012

i think i just forgot about it, on my long running divergent 1 CE map most of the work was put into europe and the near east, some areas literally didnt change borders in the initial 800 years of history :P

il'Dictator Mikal02:26, 10 March 2012

tut tut... Did the same happen to all the South American countries other than Brazil?

Peter horas non numero nisi serenas02:37, 10 March 2012

no, i just choose brazil to be one of the initial 5 major powers in the now south oriented world.

il'Dictator Mikal02:40, 10 March 2012

Standing unopposed, able to claim which ever bits of the surrounding territory they feel like (which doesn't seem to be much)...

Anyway, even if NZ isn't a "Major Power" you're never going to be able to unite the country with Dingoland.

Peter horas non numero nisi serenas02:47, 10 March 2012

have to remember one thing about this map; a lot of choices are made based on the preexisting borders; which is why Canada is a giant blotch of black: when you use a paint bucket tool set to black and just click randomly; a country with giant sub-territories like Canada tends to be more devastated then it should

il'Dictator Mikal02:52, 10 March 2012

So who are the orange/brown people? The Mongolians?

Peter horas non numero nisi serenas02:58, 10 March 2012

them? something like that, turkish-mongolian type of group. the pale colors in the north are the most prominent remnant states in the north

il'Dictator Mikal03:01, 10 March 2012

So Northern Germany, the Black Sea and the Mongols survive. As do some North Africans and Arabs, who don't seem to want to link up and form a World Caliphate. Are you saying all the alarmist Republicans are lying?

Peter horas non numero nisi serenas03:12, 10 March 2012

gotta be more specific about these lies buddy. also, it was the communists in the European union who launched first :P

il'Dictator Mikal03:20, 10 March 2012

But the Arabs want to conquer the world with into one sharia-ruled Caliphate! Didn't you hear?

What did they even launch them for, anyway?

Peter horas non numero nisi serenas03:29, 10 March 2012

oh right that one

and because the war with Russia was turning south, china just sorta got dragged into the conflagration, and the us was targeted because they were fighting alongside europe. although looking at it now, i think the conservatives have more areas colored then the commies do; so it shoulda been a different reaction.

Since when do they get the rights to the western side of islands anyway?

hey, i needed something besides indonesia down there. I still dont understand how i went from a map detailing the electoral results in a united europe (which as more countries joined the united europe, certain areas like the czechs and the other similarly small nations tended to elect the same parties over and over) to post nuclear war world events.

il'Dictator Mikal02:24, 10 March 2012

I've never written these sort of things down, but once in a thought experiment gone crazy I got from a candle-powered hot air balloon to a militarily undefeatable pariah state that nevertheless only controlled the territory of a few residential suburbs...

Peter horas non numero nisi serenas02:35, 10 March 2012

My mom got me St. John's Wort, but I looked it up (and what I mean by that is I went to the RationalWiki search bar and typed in "St. John's Wort") and it doesn't seem to be effective. :( Also, in my fictional universe, there are plant people and giant tentacled cantaur-ish spider-like militaristic, logical beasts that are trying to conquer the known universe for no particular reason.

i rarely actually write them down, and what i do is ussualy just put into png world maps i stole from commons. once, in a map i started about the time i got my desktop, i did an alternate history WW2 that ended with the US falling into a fascist state after defeating the soviets, and when i had to backup stuff so i could wipe my harddrive, i saved the map but not the spreadsheet with the events on it. needless to say i was annoyed
