I'm starting to think the history section is just wasted effort, and that makes me sad.--User:Brxbrx/sig 17:18, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

Big topic.--ADtalkModerator 00:47, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

I definitely got ahead of myself when I started it, way back when.--"Shut up, Brx." 00:48, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Wrong about Marbury vs Madison[edit]

Just learned this in Pol sci class this week, but Marbury vs Madison was significantly less important than people often claim. Judicial review existed before that case and had been used three times, in one case to strike down a law. The founders all had some idea of the concept as well. The importance of judicial review didn't change that much after the case either; in fact, Andrew Jackson once actually ignored a Supreme Court ruling related to an Indian reservation. Just caught this, I'll look into it. Actually, I should probably remove that section, as its less about US politics and more about US government.--User:Brxbrx/sig 22:21, 5 July 2012 (UTC)
I won't directly challenge you, Anon, since maybe things have changed, but most law schools taught that it was the single biggest event in Judicial history, adn without it, law would be... well, boring. ;-) I'd be really curious why the views are so different. maybe cause it's law school and they have to tell you why it's a good thing? ;-)Green mowse.pngGodotFire!
