It's a bit of a joke. Anyone who can speak english with an accent is a damn frenchie... like anyone who speaks spanish is mexican. or whatever. IE: Idiots are idiots. I felt it went along with the concept that many people (esp. stupid americans) don't know the difference between "UK" and "England" in that they also don't really know the difference between "England" and "Europe" I guess it wasn't as funny as I thought it was.
