I'm a bit surprised I'm the most pessimistic one here. And I still predict a solid win for Obama. Do that many people really think he's going to win North Carolina or Missouri? DickTurpis 16:50, 3 November 2008 (EST)

Bragging rights[edit]

If NC and Missouri hold then me and Researcher hit it perfectly. That is four years of bragging rights! tmtoulouse 13:38, 5 November 2008 (EST)

Actually, unless I'm missing something, if both hold you're 11 under. Don't forget Indiana. If NC holds but MO doesn't (I think Obama is behind there now) then you hit it exactly. But honestly, were you basing your numbers on Missouri or on Indiana? DickTurpis 13:51, 5 November 2008 (EST)

Currently, tmt and Researcher (and tmt, that should be "Researcher and I"), are on track to be right. CNN has it 349 to 163, and since MO(11) probably will go to McCain, and NC(15) will probably gObama, it'll be 364-174. Congrats. ThunderkatzHo! 13:54, 5 November 2008 (EST)

Well, Trent, looks like MO has been called for McCain. If NC holds for Obama, those bragging rights will be yours. Unless Obama picks up one of Nebraska's votes. Is that still possible? DickTurpis 14:16, 5 November 2008 (EST)
I guess it's possible, but I think we would have heard by now if he was going to. Also, I don't know how the districts are divided in Nebraska, but unless either Lincoln or Omaha get their own districts, Obama probably won't get any. ThunderkatzHo! 22:51, 5 November 2008 (EST)
If Obama gets nothing else from here, I win, no? 349, right? PFoster 22:56, 5 November 2008 (EST)

Bad news for everyone. Looks like Obama is likely pick up one of Nebraska's votes. I don't think anyone called that. DickTurpis 15:32, 6 November 2008 (EST)

Yeah, but that still makes tmtoulouse and myself closest. Researcher 21:31, 9 November 2008 (EST)

Class Pool[edit]

The "National Security" class I'm in actually held a pool on this. Right now, I'm tied for closest on EVs, House pickups, and Senate pickups. If one more house race turns over (and NC stays blue without MO going blue), then I win the cookies. Researcher 23:21, 5 November 2008 (EST)
