Bragging?--ADtalkModerator 22:52, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Poe features quite prominently. Is this ListenerX's winking smiley at last? WēāŝēīōīďWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 22:56, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
I've had the exact same copies of Poe and Beowulf--User:Brxbrx/sig 23:05, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
I have yet to read the Heaney translation of Beowulf, although I hear it has made a big splash. The Armitage translation of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight I have read; I also limped my way through the Middle English original. I preferred the latter. The Heaney is the new standard. It's the version used in the Oxford British survey text.--ADtalkModerator 00:58, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
I assume you have the Poetic Edda as well? Blue (is useful) 00:31, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
The volume Norse Poems, next to the Prose Edda, is a translation of the Poetic Edda by W.H. Auden. Mjollnir.svgListenerXTalkerX 00:41, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
Isn't this what you really meant to say Lx?
One out of three. What I meant to say was, "My taste in literature runs toward the classical, medieval, Romantic, and Minnesotan." The Luther catechism, Bible, and Latin dictionary just happened to be on the same shelf. Mjollnir.svgListenerXTalkerX 00:54, 27 October 2011 (UTC)

While we're on the topic...[edit]

Nothing but the best in literature for Mr. McWiked
