Jewish Voice is a Messianic "Jewish" group dedicated to converting Jews to Christianity. The leader of the group is Louis Kaplan; an Assemblies of God minister. Jewish Voice started in 1968 in Phoenix, Arizona. Much like Jews for Jesus, the Jewish Voice organization engages in high pressure missionary tactics. [1] Jewish Voice also works to destroy indigenous cultures worldwide by converting people to their brand of Christianity. [2] The only television networks that show programs from Jewish Voice are Christian TV networks. [3] [4] Jewish Voice Ministries is registered with the Canadian Centre for Christian Charities. [5]

Racism[edit]

Promotion of military occupation[edit]

Jewish Voice has a collection of books for sale that encourages the occupation of Palestinian territory. Books such as A Lasting Peace by Jonathan Bernis encourages ignoring Israeli war crimes against the Palestinian people and only focus on Palestinian militant groups.[6] Since the October 7th 2023 terrorist attack in Israel and the beginning of the Israeli-Hamas War, which is a tragedy for people on both sides, Jewish Voice is adamantly against a ceasefire that could bring the hostages back to Israel and save lives. They accuse nations of whitewashing terrorism.[7] They also imply that they support the ethnic cleansing of Palestinian Arabs under the far right excuse of "the land was given to the Jews by God", while ignoring the fact that the Jews and Palestinians are related genetically.[8][9]

Targeting African Jews[edit]

In the country of Nigeria there are a community of the Igbo ethnic group that practice Judaism in the religious sense but largely not in the ethnic sense.[10] Now this was mentioned for context as the Jewish Voice organization went to Nigeria to prove that Igbo Jews were not really Jews. They did genetic testing on this group of African Jews and outright told them that they were not Jews, despite the fact that the rest of the global Jewish community doesn't recognize that Messianic Jews are Jews.[11] [12] The purpose of this poorly carried out genetic testing was to convince the so-called lost tribes to go to Israel in an effort to fulfill Bible prophecy. This stunt was met with harsh criticism from the global Jewish community.[13]

Theological beliefs[edit]

As it is known Messianic Judaism is accepted as a form of Christianity, not Judaism.[14] Jewish Voice, like every other form of fundamentalist Christianity, focuses on the apocalypse and end times. They engage in aggressive missionary tactics.[15] JVMI does church planting and creates Bible schools around the world as well as provide humanitarian relief to countries torn by war. Additionally Jewish Voice accepts cryptocurrency as donations for their organization. Their group also heavily supports Israel as part of the end times theology.[16]
